    Tips for Finding Spawn locations

These are tips for finding the Collectibles.

If you have a FlowerBed or some sort of decoration that takes up 1x1 grid space. Either from your star menu (misc) or on the map.

Click to place it. or click to move it (using move tool).

It will highlight all the green area on the map. Screen capture this and keep it handy. It will help you find collectibles on the island because they'll only spawn where the green spots area.

It's best to screen capture this when you have your collect all quest complete first. This way it's a clean clear map.

Next time you get a collect all quest. Just start looking at all the green hot spots from your little screen capture cheat sheet.

Enjoy the tip! :-) (I came up with it myself.)

Another tip is buy decorations (stonewalls, flowers) from TO or gem store and plug all the green spots up on the map. The more you fill up the better. This will reduce the spots you have to look for where they'll spawn. Plug up holes for those annoying places. Or just plug up holes for an entire sector and you'll never have to look at that sector again.

Cut down all the trees! that will also help. :-)

I must be doing something wrong. Here are the green areas when I try to place a regular building. Note the 3 available locations for building, (marked by arrows).

And here are my green areas when I go to place a flowerbed.

Flowerbeds and other decorations simply have more places to go - then other buildings. this is normal.

Okay, since the tongue-in-cheek approach wasn't clear enough for Domesday, I'll try again ...

Please explain how attempting to place a flowerbed or any other 1x1 object helps identify where the spawned items can land, when they essentially can land almost everywhere on my island?

Specifically to OP: If I "Just start looking at all the green hot spots from your little screen capture cheat sheet" then I'll have to look everywhere on my island. Just as I would if I hadn't first attempted to place an object that can be built in so many places.

I have a feeling the price of statues, flowerbeds, crates, handcarts, etc is going to go up a fair bit.

Make for less green space and less search time.

Even though that would give you a LOT of green areas to look at, the map still isn't 100% fully green. For example Hobknocker, you only have to look around the edges of the areas tightly packed with buildings, which you have a lot of.

I had to laugh at the three arrows showing your only spots left. That's just crazy!! I don't even think I saw a well on there. And here I thought my island was full.

Nice island Hobknocker and great tip RonEmpire

Another way to use RonEmpire's tip:
Since building placement can change on our islands, I thought why not just do the collectible search while either placing/moving a flowerbed. When you look through your island this way, you only need to be looking at the spots without green. Herbs are a little tougher but they do pop out of the green a bit and are pretty easy to spot once you know what to look for.

The flower bed idea helped me. When I have a flower bed selected to build the only places I have to look are where there isn't any green. For the last 2 of 15 I went with a sign post.

If you guys want to get fancy. - This helped a lot for me.

I had a screen capture of the island with all the green zones (using my trick).
When I get new collectible spawns. I scree capture it again and using photoshop. I overlayed the new capture on to the old one.
Then using a 'hidden layer' toggle. I would toggle on and off the new layer. You can then quickly glance at your map in the photoshop and see 'changes' of green zones going on and off. This will allow you to quickly identify the locations based on what green area lights up and what does not.

Yea. that's a good tip too. I saw that on the .com website somebody had posted using 'moving' flower bed and all the map will light up green. Basically search the map that is not the green zone. This will help people with trees. since the green zone will totally block out all the trees allowing you to quickly look at whats NOT the green zone. (an inverse).

They are not always hiding in the "green space" - found a cauldron tucked behind the bush in the 2nd from the left gold mine in S9 the other day.
