LOL I found one that was not visible at all behind mountains and found it by accident some of them are placed in places that you would never look. Good luck hunting the Colerrorists
I don't agree that this approach will work...I have definitely found some in spots too small for a flower bed and even in stony areas where you wouldn't be able to put one

Yes, I have found scarecrows "IN" my mayor's house, and frequently find things in other buildings and rocks as well
bigger buildings like dark castle, witch tower, and mayors house can have collectibles "inside" of them
More of the same "new" content with a different bow? I will give more of the "same" towards my gem accumulation.
Yea, got spawns near buildings where a flowerbed etc wouldn't show up either.
Overall I find what I find and roughly keep in mind where the things are, as they aren't totally random...not too eager about the whole thing in the first place.
This tip isn't all that helpful as collectables can be inside mountains, and in areas that you can't build...
