    :reps the bonfire::

EVERYONE is going to be pissed off if you delete their stuff. DON'T.

Limit a mail box, fine, like every standard email provider. But don't edit the contents of it, it isn't your place. Smells to me like this is how they are going to keep people from storing exp in mail. Is it going to be some stupid 2 week limit? Huh? I can only imagine what a brain-storm session is at BB.

BB_Has_A_Clue says : "Hey guys, we need to figure out a good way to limit exp hoarders. It'll ruin the game if people max out the first day the level cap is raised "
BB_Lazy says : "Hmm, I have an idea, lets just delete their mail and make them auto-accept loot."
BB_Has_A_Clue says : "We could make them accept the exp when they complete the map instead of mailing it to them as loot."
BB_Moron says : "Wait, that requires more than 2 hours of work and we spent it writing this dev blog. Yeah lets just piss em off, maybe we can charge them a fee to save mail, lotta suckers in this game."

Gimme a fricken break. You're lead developer needs to be fired with the moron who created gem pits.

Oh, and seriously, please don't tell me I can't block a person from mailing me except from context menu that exists only a mail they send. If I block someone, I shouldn't have to block them twice or have mail to be able to do it. I'm really hoping I misread that.

Each new idea you release always has some moronic component to it. Time to thin that bloated herd...
well with the introduction of star coins I don't think a level cap raise will ever happen. they would have to go back and change coins back to XP. but if ppl alreadt bought stuff when the star coin market opens then what?

I'd like to add my voice to the majority of people who are calling for an email archive system. As the leader of a Guild for several years, there are a lot of mails that I feel are important and to which I refer from time to time. Please do not take away my ability to do this. I think it's great that you guys are improving the mail interface but deleting all mails older than a month (or year, for that matter) would negate any of the benefits proposed.

On a related note, perhaps if there was some sort of "focus group" of people who actually play the game to run these sorts of changes by before it gets as far as a dev diary, there wouldn't be some of these problems. Just a thought.

These are all very excellent ideas and it's easy to tell the development team has been paying attention
to the players, as most of us have stated, on more than one occasion, that these very same ideas
needed to be implemented. So, Thanks a million!!!

I agree with a lot of the other players, some kind of save file system needs to be added to the new mail system. I save all the gem purchase mail's from the times I've bought gems (for an in game record to look back on). I really DON'T want to loose those messages!!!!
So please, before bringing the new system live, add a saved mail file to it, save a lot of us the stress of copy and paste. And me and others who save their gem mail from loosing that reference.

This "removal of old mail" requirement is painful to me. While I understand its necessity, that doesnt mean I have to like it

I am a hoarder...my Star Menu (like many others in this game) is ridiculous and my Mailbox is full. Level 50 and I still have my Bounty Hunter Battle Reports I just find it re-assuring to know its there....

I will be sad to see it go.

Hey everyone, First I want to address- I guess tomorrow we will be testing this, I have read all the threads here and will do my best to resolve the major issues. I myself have Gdocs for everything, Personally, becuz I haven't a choice because the server I play on is wiped.

Gdocs have saved me as Guild Leader on Testing server. Perhaps some sort of Notepad or something if I were all Guild Leaders reading this please save a Gdoc for now becuz I cannot insure that our testing team can get anything at all changed. These changes we've accomplished are never ever pre-told to any one of us.

Please know always if it is brought to my attention by any of our testing members in Guild or Out, and then it it brought directly to myself, I always will follow through and do my very best for the betterment of our game.

I am going to remind everyone, the P.M. here in our forum has a download button for our mailboxes when they're full. Perhaps, since the code is here and it works here perhaps this maybe be advisable to BB_Devs, as this is something familiar. It is an option, I've used many times, and my mail is in perfect order downloaded.

This is just an idea, after a year as a test player, I've sorta gotten a feel for what they can or cannot do. Just know, it is not some director calling all shots, it is a big team of people just like us trying to decide which phase to start, which is 1,2,3... and most of all, the Dev Team, no matter what the Live servers say about them, no matter how much Trash Talk is said on Live, is part of why I've not been participating as I used to, they care, I swear to all of you, they do care, I am not making this up ever, this is a fact, please please take my word on this.

I have to say, perhaps I can interview, and report it here. Please know, I 've worked along side with the very best in our game from everywhere in the world, and together (I say work cuz play sound kinda stooped, & yes sometimes we as testers work our tails to the bone for hundreds of hours). I wonder really honestly how many realize this, probably because no one's had a voice that was worth listing to, until RonEmpire started posting. Ron please forgive me for bringing you into my reply, Perhaps if the live servers are told abit of what to expect? Is my reason why I feel we should at least let them know. Does anyone realize how much Ron's input has reflected major changes in your current live game!
LoL - I thought not, of course he is not going to say.... So I will, he has and still is...

Ask though two of us here, RonEmpire and Myself. Without Ron's help on Testing server forum, i'd be probably doomed. He is that valuable of a member to our game.
I must say this, we work under the guidance of BB_SlasH, he runs us he is the boss of us and everything he says we do. In return, LoL I cannot even say how much good he's done for us, the list is way to long for myself anyway. Without him, i'd stop playing.

So in reality, Please know, we care, the Devs care, and we do as much for this game as we can as fast as we can, becuz we look at deadlines, and it is my decision for almost 200 players as to when that deadline is past. So I push n yell n push harder to get the answers I need so I can post to the feedback thread b4 the deadline.

Please in future, if any of you see anything in these diary's you disagree with, then please you have two choices on USA your lucky, let RonEmpire know, and he will let me know. (lol Ron gonna keeeel me) hehe sorry dude....
or come to test server and join with us and test whichever phase u want to see something different occur.

Please refrain from any comments negative to my reply to this thread, I as a leader and I as a member and myself as a friend to so many, will do my very best to get this archive done in some way ... if it is possible... I promise to work hard on this for the game, I agree with this problem, being a Guild Leader myself.

Please Guild Leaders try to back yourselves up though just in case we fail...

    Best Regards;

    NICE WORK DEVS!

An additional Group mail function will be also nice

I think in future Dev's should also allow players to block messages and posts here in forum.. like if i block a player in forum, i won't see his/her posts as well

I think a testing server is just that and we expect test accounts to be wiped as things are changed. However, on the live there should be a way to store mail that we do not want deleted. I don't want to rely on some outside source in order to keep important mail handy. Its redundant and unnecessary, and there should be a way to make that happen without too much difficult. I get that mountains of mail left in people's inbox may cause some issues for the server, and if that's the case, then fine...limit the amount that one can save, but asking for a handful or even 25 mail messages to remain in my inbox isn't asking for too much. I appreciate being able to see sent messages, and is a feature that is definitely needed, and I am on the test server and will enjoy seeing how it works, but I like many have mail I DO NOT want to see deleted. Updated mailbox...fantastic....deleting my important mail...not so much so.

Yeah,, I have the first mail I ever received.. Does that mean I can't keep that.. What about resources.. I've had stuff stored in my mailbox for more than a year.. what happens to that stuff?
