Set up a trade for 100 ore for something nobody would accept.
Cancel it and it reverts to your star as 100 ore.
Do that 4 more times.
This may appeal to a customer with 5 gold mines.

Nice trick ES. Could also do same with 5000 gold depos into smaller lots of 1k and such.

best for golden pickaxes. 5k gold ore depo, u can break it up- i like doing in 625 units so i can spread it evenly across my 8 gold mines
