    Nature's Gift Mechanics?

    Since this forum section is called "Developer's Corner".


    Can we get a developer or a CM to ask a developer to give us an explanation on how this skill works? Obviously, it's an expensive skill to invest books into and then having buyer's remorse feeling that you get *screwed* over in spending books on a skill that doesn't work.


    Here are the questions to answer:

    1. If I send a geo out searching for stone, will the 10% trigger if all stones are already found.

    2. If the 10% is triggered, what deposits does he refill exactly?

    Examples:
    a: True or False: Search for stones, and he refills a copper mine. This Copper mine is being mined with a building on it.
    b: True or False: Search for stones, and he refills a copper deposit with no building on it.
    c: True or False: ALL copper deposits are being mined.. Search for copper, the copper mine gets refilled.


    The word "refilled" was rather confusing, as it means a deposit gets completely 'reset to the maximum value. But from what I've learned "refills" mean +25 or +50 value to it only.

    (ohhh burn)

    But for real, this mega thread should be renamed. Never once have i seen a Dev talk here. Only Forum Moderators who pass on our ideas and info, i never see a Dev get into a nice discussion in the forums...

    (yes i know legalities and language limits, but we players do exist right?)

    Okay based on what I can tell from my testing so far.

    I noticed that Nature's Gift does NOT trigger unless the geo discovers something. This means something has to be depleted/exhausted first.
    (Honestly, this is really stupid, that something has to be depleted first in order for this to trigger to refill something else. What's the point of a refill if everything has to be depleted - 10% is also a really bad chance as well. ).

    Okay, so when Nature's Gift did trigger. It only 'randomly' applies the refill on the SAME type that you searched. And what happens is that it 'shows the Nature's Gift icon on the deposit it just found. However, the amount found is not more than what it would normally be without nature's gift. There is a 'second' nature's gift icon that appears on another deposit that is actually currently being mined (must be the same type).

    So here's what happened:

    I have 5 copper mined. 1 exhausted. I found a new copper deposit. it showed 816 ores (and it had the icon nature's gift on it). After I logged out and logged back in. I saw "Nautre's Gift" icon on another deposit (copper mined). The amount it refilled was about ~16 extra copper ores. Hardly worth anything. Seriously? The copper deposit had about 19 left. When I logged back on it had about 35 left. So it's about ~16 that got added.

    This is the worst talent skill ever. And it needs to be fixed and buffed. It needs to allow you to refill anything regardless of how many already are found.


    I was able to test this buy demolishing the one copper mine, and made it search. And then placed the mine on the newly found. and then demolished/cancelled the build and then sent him out again to search. I did this about 10-20 times to get a result.

    I did it about 30-40 times with everything already found and no results. so I can say it only triggers when something can be found.


    This skill needs to be massively FIXED. 10% Trigger only on deposits found is an awful awful mechanics. And the refill only applies to the deposit type you're searching for. The value of the refill is also terrible.


    Natural Born Digger is a significantly better skill. As it is consistently giving you extra resources.



    Attention Developer: You need to fix this skill.



    If I wanted more copper, doing copper searches over and over using Copper Mining Surplus better. Why bother refilling a copper mine.
    Can't refill stones or marbles without something being depleted first. So this is utterly useless. You can't force deplete something like you can with a mine. Gold searches take way too long to make this even useful as the 10% chance is frustrating. Also you have to sacrifice an empty deposit to be able to demolish over and over.

    wow, I was hoping that when I searched for a stone, copper, or marble it would trigger off and refill anything example coal or gold or iron. I have two geos build up for the Nature's Gift and now I feel ripped off.

    Would there be any way to get the geos moved back to the 8% bigger deposits. I at least seen that working. I can afford to buy a lot of gems

    You can reset the books, but only get 50% of them back.
    If something can go wrong, it will.

    why testing like this should be done on test realm: most things BB give us fail to live up to expectations.

    anyways - there is a reason this skill is not widely discussed and used - it sucks and we have known that for over a year.
    More of the same "new" content with a different bow? I will give more of the "same" towards my gem accumulation.
