Dear Santa,

I am writing on behalf of my poor deprived settler on my island. You see, they have been trying to find a military leader to inspire them to go and do great things. However, they have been unfortunately unsuccessful. It starts with not having a goal. I feel that in order to secure the best candidate we should try to do something like invade the Nords. Such an undertaking would surely attract a leader with gut, gusto, and a little bit of crazy. But even if we had such a goal, our island is missing a place to "grease the wheels" in the negotiation of the services of this leader. I have heard of a new group of monks who make libations fit for someone of his august personage. The misfortune of the settlers does not end here. They are so poor that they would need some magic to pay the leader and fund his exploits. Why it would take someone spinning gold from straw itself for these poor farmers to be able to invest in any undertaking. If all of this were to somehow come true, I would like to commission an artist to carve a statue of one of the fair maidens in town capturing the look of hope for a successful campaign as well as the feelings of trepidation at the possibility that our noble leader gets hurt. Santa, no one else can make these holiday wishes come true. We are in your hands.
