New building coming soon: Exotic Wood Tree School

Exotic Wood Tree School - First insights

    Dear Settlers!

With today's new version on our public test server a new building will be introduced:
    The Exotic Wood Tree School

Please keep in mind that this is the first test version of the new building. Hence, the final design and balancing may differ.

    • Level requirement: Minimum level to get the new building is 26
    • Capacity: 1250 units of Exotic Wood
    • Upgrades: It can be upgraded up to level 5. This speeds up the output and building will deplete faster
    • Limitation: None, but there is a shop cool down of 7 days. I.E. you can acquire it once per week in the "architect" section.
    • Tradable: No
    • Building license: No building license is needed
    • Buffs: The output can be increased by using productivity buffs
    • Refill: There are no refills for this building
    • Recurring: The building won't go back to the star menu when you destroy it, but there is a warning message similar to the gem pit.
    • Moving: Like the gem pit, you cannot move this building

    Happy Settling!

I am not seeing how this building will be useful. Now if it was a granite quarry vs a EWL (which we have massive stockpiles of) it would have been something to actually buy.

    Edit:
After looking at this on the test server the price is totally not worth it. It needs to be reduced to under 500 gems to be worthwhile. Also the ability to use omni-seed on this is a must to make it worthwhile as well. Ether that or the amount of EWL needs to be upped a LOT to be useful. The only time i could see this being remotely useful is on a new server where the EWL market is not completely saturated yet.

Ha how pointless is that building? Get that many logs in one adventure, now if it was granite i would pay top dollar for that. Thanks for the try.

First lame thing of the New Year ? Thanks for nothing. ( again )
Strange as it seems, no amount of learning can cure stupidity, and higher education positively fortifies it.

if it costs gems, its too expensive.
More of the same "new" content with a different bow? I will give more of the "same" towards my gem accumulation.

What a wonderful item to add: a source for a prized resource which can be buffed, and which is tied to a unique holiday. Please consider giving this as a gift to players around Arbor Day. Based on my quick research, Arbor Day is celebrated in Germany on April 25, in America on the last Friday in April, and in the United Kingdom for a week in November.
