Question: How long can adventure loot remain unclaimed in your mailbox? What happens?

Does adventure loot expire after a certain amount of time? For example, if I buy a lootspot from someone, and then go on vacation for a few days, and the seller completes the adv while I am on vacation, will the adventure loot still be there, days later? How long will it remain there?

I've searched the forums and FAQ's for the answer, but my google-skills are not up to the task.

Well, they are about to change the mail system but as it stands now, it'll stay in there forever.
