This is actually a really good idea. +1

Or.... we could get some new content that let us build a Cloud City in the sky above our islands and I could change my name to Lando Calrissian- either way, but now we have options!!

I like this idea, but instead of adding new buildings. Work on level caps for buildings. Gettings things to lvl 5, releasing new buildings that require no licenses. You realize that buying licenses w/ gems are becoming more absolute as the years progress through the game. I have roughly 14 unused licenses at this point (and yes I have all mines running). At one point I needed to buy like 15 more licenses but due to buying buildings that don't require licenses, it has freed up those licenses.

I'm guessing its only a matter of time before they offer an improved mill now that they made it clear they are happy to charge us twice for a building that does the same thing only a tiny bit better

    Epic fail!
Epic Woodyard is ok, but only for somethings.

    --- COAL ---
For Coal (3 slots) - Takes the room of 5 cokers, though the odd 5x4 size might mess up other building placement such that it takes 6 normal building sizes.
** Using Pinewood fuel, EWY can produces 14k coal (unbuffed) which is equal to about 14 level 5 Coking Plants. Thus you save 14 licenses and the space for 8-9 normal sized buildings!

    --- HW Sawmill ---
    - From hardwood (3 slots) - Produces 4740k (unbuffed). Normal HW Sawmill, Level 5 is 470, so this is equal to 10 HW Sawmills. Saves 10 licenses and the space for 4-5 normal sized buildings.

--- HW Forester --- (Of course, these are broken right now, so not really necessary)
Produces 4968 Trees while a level 5 HW forester produces about 475 trees. So again, roughly worth 10 HW foresters. Saves 10 licenses and the space for 4-5 normal sized buildings.

The other stuff doesn't seem worth it.

You are overlooking the major changes to deposits and woodcutting that are coming. Many deposits are only 5 in size, so a larger deposit, only 5 will get used (i think). this makes the epic workyard next to worthless as a forester.

its sad that the things we would want this to replace most (farm, fisher, water) it wont have an option for.
More of the same "new" content with a different bow? I will give more of the "same" towards my gem accumulation.

What changes to deposits? Are they increasing the size of wood depos?

They are changing how production buildings interact and choose deposits.

Didn't they try this before xmas and that was a complete fiasko? I just don't get it. How hard it is to change a line of code and make 200 wood depo from 5? Instead they are changing mechanics of the game? Seriously? I am sure that is gonna fly super fine ...I swear "common sense 101" - should be mandatory in colleges...

maybe it's me seeing this from a different perspective. but shouldn't the bb's fix problems first BEFORE adding new buildings.

i like the idea and all. but for a later time imo

Ok seems like some people are like "I tried really hard to make my water production work, don't change anything!" others like "newbies need to sell water to get strong don't change anything!" I think both are somewhat valid but altogether incorrect.
If you had to work THAT hard, then it's definitely a broken system and you should be happy other players won't have to go through that pain. If you think noobs NEED the item to sell. Let me tell you. I never sold water, nobody did when it was 1-3 coins/k and I didn't buy gems until I was lvl 48. The game was fun as hell still, I got a good guild, and I finally started selling LS and making some money after premium came out now my island is pretty great. Don't make the game less fun for some players in order to benefit others. That's stupid.
We DEFINITELY NEED SOMETHING to increase water production and limit space on our islands.
Another ocean building is an AMAZING perfect stupendous idea. Floating houses are capped we have 20+ spaces for a building like that to occupy. Make 5 buildings that sit on the sea and purify water. Lol the settlers learn desalinization or something. It would be sick but make it cost 2.9k gems, make them tradable so EVERYONE can get them for gc if they get a gem buyer. Make each one be 3x the power of a reg watermill.
