Brickcaster@ For the amount of time you must have put in to your English assignment here to critique the game. You are familiar with working to achieve something.
Yes, Settlers is not the perfect game. Yes, there is lots BB can do to improve the game. No, taking away all the work, time, dedication, compromises, challenges, thought-planning, and even frustration is not a step in the right direction.
If I wanted to play a game that had no challenge, no need to think of a strategy, no planning to get the items I wanted I would play a game that offered me that kind of lazy entertainment.
Would I love that my resource chains were on a even 1:1:1 ratio. Sure but there not so I make it work. If I don't have the buff, I don't run the chain.
I like the adventures how they are. I like to block and am so thankful someone else was smart enough to put in the time and effort to make guides for me to follow. So thank you to all you guide makers I appreciate your hard work
Blocks are fun and frustrating as heck when they fail. It makes me determined to get it right next time so not to lose those pretty troops I hate making. It's the challenge that's fun. No challenge is not fun.
I grown at the goody list of this upcoming event. Calculating how many adventures I'm going to be doing to get those shiny new toys, and it's a lot. I might complain, but in the end. I'm also looking forward to it and working for the reward.
