The rules clearly state that benefiting from bugs and game development errors is not permitted.

Who started it? The cheater, if the cheater wasn't cheating there would be nothing to talk about.

Almost every online game I have played has made an attempt at allowing players to help develop the game. Almost every instance has ended in failure because the people who think they should have been picked won't stop complaining.

I would be a horrible community leader because I call a spade a spade when I see one. This entire discussion is juvenile and pointless.

And what bug are you talking about? WPPs or what? I have never seen a BB say anything about any bugs or anything in that matter since i started playing. And to call someone a cheater who was using the wpps as purpose (to take out troops in a camp) and did not expect to get extra beans or even cauldrons at that matter is "juvenile and pointless* and i too believe i would make a bad community leader but i atleast would like say as to who will become my community leader instead of getting one assigned to me. is this seriously soo much to ask?

I was referring to the codes of conduct listed in the announcements category. I am not aware of any specific current exploits.

The person who discovers it is brilliant, there should be a reward for that. The people who then continue to take an advantage knowing it is wrong are cheaters.

I understand that a core component of TSO is to excel by finding or making an advantage. If the codes of conduct were followed to the letter, simply moving a workhouse to gain a better walk time might be a violation. Calling players cheaters might have be an overstatement.

I don't think that anybody is assigned to you specifically. It would be easy to say "then don't play", but the truth is that players have invested time energy and money. You are sort of stuck with what the game offers.

If you had been offered to participate as a CL, the masses would be doing the same thing to you.

No, it's not too much to ask. CL's can share the concerns of the general community directly with BB. It is similar to what you are asking for. Relaying players concerns to BB, is a fairly simply task.

OK when i first learned of the bug was also by accident. If this was such a BAD thing then why didn't anyone from UBISOFT say so. I honestly thought it was part of using the stupid nukes!!!! As for anyone calling anybody a cheater then i guess that anyone that blocks, uses nukes, buys lottspots is cheating for the fact that the adventures where designed to be played by multiple players not just one and the others "tagging"!! So what now kick every user and start over that's probably the only true fair and honest way to fix this. So BB's since nothing was said by the company's reps about the "bug" i say water under the bridge just like the double drop depos and if anyone throws out the "cheater" word again either prove with screen shots or kick like the TOS state regardless if a long time player or newly placed CL or a noob playing for the first time. The lack of action on the companys side to fix/stop the so called abuse of the bug is no players fault.

Slycerz, no one was given a chance for input on this, and that's why so many people are upset over it. The BBs chose the first round of CLs quietly, and used them as guinea pigs for a 'training program.' Rawren has already said that in the future nominations will be held (on both servers,) so we will have a say.

Whether we like the people chosen or not, I'd personally like to see the community give the program itself a chance. Players have complained countless times that devs don't listen to the player's perspective, that they don't understand cuz they don't play. If this system is used properly, here's our chance to have the voice of the players heard in a way that doesn't overwhelm the devs with a thousand voices. They aren't intended to be police or rats, but to listen to what the players say in chat and forums, and know how the game works, and offer constructive feedback to the company.

Yes we use the forums. Yes the BBs also forward ideas. This is an attempt at another tool to close the gap between player and dev. Regardless of whether you know the currently chosen CLs or what you think of them, at least the company is trying to listen, at least that's what I get from it. Can we just let it be for a couple months and give it a chance? Having CLs doesn't directly influence the player's gameplay. Keep using the tools you were using before. You don't need to interact with them at all if you don't want to.

Seems to me more commotion is being made over who was chosen and how, rather than the program itself. So instead of cutting the program down, and since Rawren has already admitted mistakes were made, lets give them a chance to develop the program into what it should be.

My main concern about this is why were we not informed that this was or has happened? When was this put into effect? Everything else gets announced. Why not this? I have no real concerns about it happening, just the lack of being informed that it actually happened. I dont think actually said anything in regards to putting it down. I was just commenting on the fact that it was done and then we find out through Guild chat that it has happened. How many other players are actually aware that this process occured. Like I said, when did this actually take place? I would love a proper response to my original question. Not someone puting words in my mouth. I never once commented in regards to anyone in my original posting. I really dont appreciate the way my question was avoided as well. As I was very respectful in my comments and clear about my concerns.

Slycerz, only my first paragraph was directed toward you. in an attempt to answer your question. The rest was general comments about what others have said. Sorry for the confusion. I should have separated the info somehow, or made it 2 separate posts.

This thread is the first and only notification players have received about this program. In her post Rawren says it started months ago on a *trial basis. Maybe that's why the held off on an announcement? So this post *is their official announcement of the program.

And there in lies the reason for this CL program. At least now you have some people who can start molding this program into something you like.
