Talking Alternate solution to continuing guild membership

Our membership is generally very content and active. We hover between 20-30 members intentionally and while we do not actively recruit, we accept all requests to join.

When members know they are going to be inactive - whether it be on vacation - or just a hiatus from the game - they often voluntarily leave the guild - knowing they are welcome to return anytime - but not wanting to slow our daily success rate of GQ completion - particularly with the advent of many "adventure" GQ.

Today - we founded our "sister" guild - DREAMLAND - where members can find a different pace - and take either a "self-imposed" break from the game - or return to the more "earthly" responsibilities of family and work - yet can still find friends willing to actively buff and trade- to maintain their island- until they return to the primary - more active - guild.

We "passed the hat" to found the alternate guild today -so let the experiment begin!

Inactive players aren't actually counted in guild quests, so they don't hurt them. Game requires 80% of active players to complete the quest.
What slows many guilds down is the 'casual' player. Logs on, so counts for the gq, then doesn't log on again for say 3 days. Or is here a little each day but doesn't have time to do the guild quest, especially the harder ones, like "do 2 new adventures."

The next question is why do people care if the guild quest gets completed. Its not like the coins are worth anything. Check the TO and trade resources for them if you can find a use for them most cant so the price is low. This is due to the limited buying on the items that are worth saving the guild coins for

It's a cooperative thing that helps bring the guild together. We have fun with it. Right now we're doing a donation contest to help our new members get the jolly geo.
