see the screenshots - I had two 2x2 buildings built on the spots near the iron deposits which are indicated in the latter two screenshots - once I moved those buildings and tried to build something else there or move, I realized that this space was not light green any longer, and thus could not put any building onto it; after comparing with another player we noticed that he was able to use this space;

pls check this out and restore my building space on my island - I would really like to use this space that should be available - thank you;

rebuild the iron mines, run them dry. when you demo the remains, you will reopen the spot.

update: I built the mines and razed them shortly before they depleted, but that did not reopen the spots;
