Chat Application

This idea was put forth in Global-1, and suggested to BB_Tophour2. The game chat server is independent of the main game. The BB employees use a different program to access chat, although it is also Flash-based. However, this theoretically could be accessed by players if BB created an application to allow players to log into the server under their own accounts, allowing people to interact in chat when the rest of the game is not accessible. If the application was not flash-based, then it could possibly be run on non-flash-capable devices, such as phone or iPads.

Would this be something of interest to the general community? Would it be something people would be willing to spend money on - either gems or an application download cost?

I think some people do come here (to TSO) to mainly sit and chat, and they may be interested in this idea but when i am playing games i come to play the actual game, the chat is secondary.
