But what is the landspace cost of that. Then you may need the supporting infrastructure to provide hwl so cutters and forresters. And if you use a slot for one of those you lose it for logs. Oh and then you need all the spots for marble mining. If hwp are that valuable i am sitting on a gold mine with all that i have from doing adventures. My guess is if you look at the importance of space which most people complain about then you are better off buying your supplies or doing adventures for most.

    land space... 4 Spots.

5 Hardwood logs to 5 Hardwood planks so 1:1

Time to produce the hardwood planks, 4:32

It's worth it to mass produce the Hardwood planks. I got 10 Level 5 Marble Masons which supply more then enough, was just lacking the Hardwood planks. So your probably looking at 4 Hardwood Cutters and 6 Hardwood foresters to supply that Rank 1 on it which is fine. So really, it just comes down to the choice if you want to use it for that or not.

I like the new name for it "Epic Failyard". I think sums it up pretty well

Technically its 6 spots, since 2 of the spots stretches a bit over. It's like having 2 watermills (3x2) stacked next to 2 nobles (2x2).

Shame on me for not checking the test server more recently

Shame on the developers for giving us 'new' expensive content for no real gain

I typically do not complain on the forums but this is just a slap in the face.

    Thanks for nothing.
Keep in mind that foresters are bugged and using it to replace that on your island is not economical. However, the work yard replaces more buildings then you would get if you had six in the same space.

    Coal is around 12-13 cokers.
Hardwood forester supplies enough for 7ish cutters, which is roughly 10.5 foresters.
Hardwood planks is about 9 hw mills
Pinewood, I havent tested. But numbers seem to line up to the HW forester ratio.

Its not a loss unless you place it badly. Most likely, your 1 forester to 15 cutters right now are not optimiumly placed, so the work yard forester would consolidate nodes and increase your production overall do to travel time saved.

The issue with this workyard has nothing to do with with how well it does its job.

The issue is that they are wasting time fixing something no one cares about to make this epic.

If foresters had worked at the 3:2 ratio all along, this would be a great building, a must have. But they don't... and they are trying to make a buck over something that's been part of the game from day one. That's just down right greed, and that may have some dire consequences for the longevity of this game. Never seen mega sales so close to each, I'm guessing someone's coffers aren't filling so quickly anymore.

My wood industry is in good shape. i don't want to screw with it. Island is full of trees. Have increasing inventory of pine and hardwood logs. Why would I pay to change to something I don't want or need?

Ditto. Well said. I am already expecting gem sales to dry up because of the fiasko with this, more greed for pushing the granite pit and exo crap. The way new silos are introduced is just a slap to all of us who spend hard cash to get the old ones as well. Wait till september and see how the dev team stuff thins out cause gem sales dry out. YOU ARE DOING IT TO YOURSELVES! I have seen dev teams going this path so many times... MMO is the only industry who doesn't get the concept that gamers are also customers and there are consequences of screwing with them...

Personally the Improved Silo is one of the better updates lately in my opinion. Is a bit flawed, but better then a lot of the other crap. I have 44 silos currently, I look forward to replacing them (just buy the new ones with coin).
More of the same "new" content with a different bow? I will give more of the "same" towards my gem accumulation.

The cost you spend on the mission chains is not worth the rewards you get for completing them. At level 48 who really need planks and coal? Nice way to really waste your resources. For me its more of a big decoration than anything else.
