    Code of Conduct Rules

In the new rules posted the other day BB Rawren posted

Utilizing or advertising exploits is cheating.
Sometimes the game functions in ways not originally intended by the development team. Exploits can grant an unfair advantage and utilizing or advertising them could result in a ban. The exploits should be reported directly to Support. We will go over the facts on a case by case basis.
could or might this be applied to Loot Spots since the Devs came up with adventures so that 2 or 3 players would acually do it together? Is this not also an exploit?

and according to the End User Aggreement we all digitally signed Ubisoft states:

    Final note:
Ubisoft reserves the right to amend, remove or add to these rules at any time and without notice. We would also ask you not attempt to challenge or test our tolerance levels. Moderators and administrators reserve the right to modify the official forums and/or chat at any time at their discretion and without prior notice.
so i would like to know if useing this exploit i.e. Loot Spots can be seen as cheating and get me banned at some point in time?

Geez, you need a hobby or something, 'cause you're working WAY too hard to find something to worry about.

how do we know what is an exploit and that we are using them, if BB is always so quiet about it?

it seems to me that if the game is changed by devs, then that is the current version of the game. i am not modding the game, using other programs, trying to cheat, etc. I am merely playing the game as put forth by the development team.

Actually I don't think loot spots are an exploit in the gaming sense, the blocking however can be considered one. However I doubt that BB would ever stop this, there would be a HUGE uproar and possibly even a mass exodus of players. Its probably better left for a philosophy forum, but if the majority of people do something (like blocking) can it still be called wrong ? I think you are very safe from being banned for doing loot spots (and blocking).

Yes, lootspots are not working as intended. Thus the new cooperative adventures, that only give resources to try and get us to use weapon chains that are obsolete.
More of the same "new" content with a different bow? I will give more of the "same" towards my gem accumulation.

I think I have been deceived.

Currently, loot spots are not considered an exploit of game mechanics. Players may engage in loot spots at their own discretion and Ubisoft/BB will not be held responsible for any issues or losses related to it.

While having lootspots and block may not be considered ban-able, it could be foreseeable that a patch in the future could change the game mechanics so that they are not usable in the game. The company's knowledge of both of these things in common use would likely make taking action against an individual player nonprofitable to say the least, but there is little question that the designers did not consider the implication of some of the mechanics before finalizing them.
