More of the same "new" content with a different bow? I will give more of the "same" towards my gem accumulation.
Imo, winning screenshots should be funny, lucky, or interesting shots. I'm not really "impressed" when someone with 9 gem pits has an expensive item. Hopefully no one takes this the wrong way, but when i see an impressive island with a bunch of tradeable decos, fms and level 5 buildings I'm less impressed when I see it was bought with RL cash. BB on the other hand might see it differently.....
edit: add in "pretty" for screenshots I like. If you placed a bunch of decorations around your mayors house and it's pleasing to the eye, I like it. How rare or expensive it is if it is tradeable doesn't matter to me. Remember when things like WT weren't tradeable? Back then I was impressed by them
not all gem pits on the server were pruchased with that individual's cash- the 5 remaining pits i have were all purchased with gems i got from resources i traded for gem packs (i am sure there are others that did the same). Opinions will vary on this topic, but i personally dont care how an island looks (decor wise), its all about the production/pop/storage, things that actually have an affect on game-play (positively). I am still waiting to see the ultimate DB ls- granite in slot 1, cannons/damas in 3-4, marble in 2, settlers in 5, WT in 6 and the slot 7 granny- that would be the SS of the century in my book (double slot granite and WT would do it).Originally Posted by soggyshorts

Absolutely agree with you! Having 50 noisy decorations that make noises on your island is kind of cute.... for a minute. But since they provide NO value to the production, strength or value of the island, some pics make no sense. Perhaps BB would consider some sort of prize/gift for those users who have uniquely productive islands...

That's an interesting take on what would make a good SS. Not sure about the pop/storage angle, I mean if someone had a 50/50 FM/ISH island it would be impressive. Boring, but impressive.
Production and efficiency would be cool. I'd like to see a really good bread chain. Currently mine has
-7 depo/12
+65 wheat/12
-351 flour/12 (based on 9h buff a day)
-3k water/12
on a rather small chain, I imagine some of the biggest chains were a pain to balance, although most don't run full chain.
How about gold chain? Does anyone have one that is well balanced using 3x buffs? That's be worth a SS imo

I have x8 fast gold mines, 24 smelters, 36 coinages (everything lvl 5). that is optimal for x3s, but atm putting rainbows on gold mines are pretty profitable so if x4 your fast gold mines at lvl5 u can self sufficiently support 32 smelters and 48 coinages (lvl5)- but this also leaves no room to stock gold ore for badges (unless u sleep your smelters). i have no plans for expansion of my chain any time soon, but possibly in the future.
