i gave up on trade tab months ago because one of 2 things would happen
    a) someone would call out my trade and announce he/she didnt feel it was a good deal (even when it was inline w/ the current costs) - or that they felt the costs were 'too high at that time' -- well thats the nature of trading - prices change... but that would lead others not to buy the trade or wait till prices changed in the way they wanted
    b) as soon as i posted the trade someone else would undercut it so as to ensure the deal would be useless and / or ANNOUNCE it that they were doing so ("Hey if you think thats a good deal i'll sell it for 5c less" ) which is just Rude.

so i gave up - better just to post in t/o w/o an announcement then deal w/ this sort of thing. And my trades started selling regularly again at fair prices.

If a player asks for a price check, I may share my opinion. I believe in a free market. Trade bashing specific trades is not proper etiquette.

I avoid whisper offers because they are usually an invitation to privately pay more.

Some trade questions to ask before posting

    1. Are you buying or selling?
    2. Fast sale or slow sale?
    3. Bulk rate or full retail?
    4. How many players are currently offering that resource?
    5. How many players have what you are asking for?
    6. Is the quantity you are selling a desirable amount? (ex. 250 + Nibs)
    7. Can it be purchased with gems? (cannot buy bronze)
    8. How did you get what you are selling?

I think that any offer that ask for gold coin is a "want to sell" (wts).
Offers that trade resources for resources are "want to trade" (wtt).
Want to buy (wtb) is for players offering coin.

    Some truths:
You cannot correct the market, you can only influence it. Your customers won't buy if you're priced too high and your competitors will simply buy you out if you sell to low. Every seller tends to want the best price. Your trade offers will influence other traders, leave room for other traders to find an in between price.

The 3B's, Bread, Brew and Bronze swords, the staples of daily trading.

I find it is often needed to conduct whisper sales to avoid immediately getting undercut/overbid and starting a spiraling war. Take Improved Storehouses. price started at 6k. 6h later, the bids on TO were up to 7800. Why? because everyone knew what the other was offering and immediately bid more.

Also: the staples of trading I find are Bread, Coin, and Granite. Many 50s try to deal only in granite. Coin is the standard medium, and bread the most sought after trade good that is widely in demand from both buyers and sellers.
More of the same "new" content with a different bow? I will give more of the "same" towards my gem accumulation.
