I've been thinking about this for a while so I'm going to give it a whirl and see what happens.

I'm planning a player run trivia/game night Saturday(s) at 7:00 PM US East.
The first event will be on March 22nd, 2014.
EDIT: Also planning on using Global-5 since that's where player run auctions happen as well /EDIT

I'm going to be supplying prizes, but anyone who donates a prize would be more than welcome.
There will be a full accounting of all donations posted here and all donations will be used on the night of the event.

My intent at the moment is to supply prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place, I will be supplying these prizes for the first week.
Right now I plan to offer 5000 gold and 5000 granite split among the top 3 points winners (this may change depending on turnout)

The rules will be fairly simple for the first few games I have planned.
I will supply a clue and the first 3 respondents to give a valid (and different) answer will get a point (and a prize if there are enough to go around)

For instance if the clue is 'A piece of neckwear with tie in the name'

Valid responses might be
Bow or bowtie
neck or necktie
bolo or bolo tie

The first respondent of any of these answers would get a point, no points awarded for duplicate answers even if you are 2nd to respond overall.

There will be between 5 and 20 clues depending on the turnout.

If you win a prize and are not on my friends list already it will be your option to either send me a friend request and wait 24 hours or post a trade for the prize noted for 1 fish and I'll buy your item.

For instance if the prize for a question is 500 Hardwood Planks you would post a trade offering 1 fish for 500 hardwood planks then tell me when the trade was up.

If there are any questions you can contact me in game or post here and I'll try to be good about checking up.

User Generated Contests

Get proper approval.
Competitions of any kind must be always approved by the admins to avoid any potential malpractice or unfair gain at the cost of other players. Keep in mind that lotteries or any other contest which requires a player to “buy-in” for the chance of winning will not be approved by the moderators.

In general: Participation in any competitions that have not been organized by Ubisoft/Blue Byte is at the player’s own risk. Any claims for damages must be directed to the organizers of such competitions.

We reserve the right to halt, delete, or cease player events.
Silence on the part of the admins and/or moderators must not be assumed as consent. The administration reserves the right to remove threads that invite players to participate in unauthorized competitions either directly or indirectly, or which could encourage players to take part in such. The member responsible will be notified of such removal by private message. We also reserve the right to stop in game player created events.

Not really necessary to say you do not want to donate, I'm saying they'd be welcome if they came.

I am supplying prizes regardless of what happens elsewhere.

As to the guidelines supplied by psaltery, nothing I've suggested violates those rules. I am not asking anyone to buy in to any contest, anyone is welcome to come play. Whatever is donated (if anything) will go to the winners of questions/contests. And as I stated in the OP all donations (if there are any) will be accounted for. Any prize donated and not accounted for on this thread before the time of the event feel free to call foul. Frankly I did not expect, nor do I expect anyone will be interested in donating anything, especially when it is the first such event I'm aware of. 99% of the users probably haven't even seen my name before so why would they send me goods?

Should it be necessary I had planned to take screenshots and post them if necessary to establish 1st, 2nd and 3rd answers in the order they appear on my screen.
