I find it hard to believe nobody in dev saw this coming? You make a WPP that takes out 1 type of enemy in a camp, ...nobody thought we would use more than 1 on a leader camp? What a CRAZY turn of events that is, we are just too clever.

unfortunately, this and the village school upgrades set a precedent. yes, the new general can be nerfed. yes, frozen manors can be nerfed. yes, End of the World trophies may hold population in the future. yes, halloween tombs may start converting wheat into granite. useless items may become useful. useful items may become useless. i don't how long the village school has been on the game, at least a year, but the WPP and Range support have been on for 4 months and now bb says they have not been functioning appropriately and will be nerfed. so really, just about anything can be changed for better or worse.
Well, by the seems of BB_Rawren posts that we should be using the Ranged Support and Weak Point Potion to weaken the camp to the point where we only need to use like 100 Recruits or less recruits to kill the camp. In the end we are suppose to use our generals.
The Small and Large Catapults is for taking down the small/medium Bandit Camps so that way you can use less troops to clear the adventure. But people are using Ranged Support and Weak Point Potion for killing the Bandit Leader camps and then the adventure finishes in like less then 1 minute.
Like the adventure "The Dark Brotherhood" you only need like 4 Weak point potions, 1 ranged support.... When you swap loot spots, 2 People place Weak point potion then you Finish the Witch Tower with a Weak Point Potion and Ranged Support and then boom! Adventure done! Which the Devs probably didn't want you use them like that but to only weaken the Leader camps by using 1 range support and 1 weak point potion and then sending in Generals to finish the leader camp off.
regardless of intent of these buffs might have been they were tested-released-nerfed-nerfed again-nerfed once more-and now yet another nerf? upsetting your player base with changes like this will only drive away more players. remember the ford pinto the issue with them catching fire was resolved quick but the stigma of the problem lead to thier dimise. in a bussiness that caters to an online community it's bad bussiness to upset your player base. the lvl 50s using these really don't care about the few hundred troops they save, most use them to farm adventures for resources. just pull the buff replace the loot on MSEs with the watered down version and kill the MSE adventure and make it ppl only run once for the dumb quest and get it over with. the efforts of your staff should not be in reworking stuff that isn't broken and should be consetrating on broke stuff. the school shouldn't change a imp school should have come out( to be honest i probably won't get it now either) but i do feel i was cheated out of not buying the ones before because they were well worthless.
I am with @TheGreatMatt: hard to believe the devs didn't have this branch on their logic tree...and now the "anti-fun police" are swooping down to take our toys away! (UBI/BB: "Oh no! They're playing the game how THEY want to, not how WE want them to play!! Let's change the rules!!") BOOOOO!!!
@RomanGodCamper: I don't need an explanation from you of HOW I use the WPP / RS; perhaps you're just now discovering their utility as many of us "clever" players already have? Have you missed out on the fun??

in the end dev/bb do what they want and the players just have to deal with it or play another game. sad but that's how it goes
