Video Ads Question

I dislike video ads but I understand their purpose.

However there is one question that confuses me. The video ads I see on the forums can be closed with that white x button on the corner of the video ad.

However the video ads that play within the actual game cannot be closed, and will only close after playing particular number of ads, and sometimes you actually have to click play for an ad to play.

Is it at possible to change these video ads so I or other people can close them like the video ads that display sometimes on the forums? Or is this something that has to happen.

I ask because my adobe flash player isn't perfect and it crashes quite a bit, probably because of stress and too many videos and other stuff playing and I want to reduce the stress of my adobe flash player, I really don't like how it crashes a lot.

Another reason is because it is distracting, and eats some space up within the interface, I mean sure the scroll feature within the game allows it to take care of that since the scrolling feature goes beyond the island so you can take care of any issues, but I'd prefer not to do that all the time.

And the final reason as I hinted at, is because it doesn't go away after a certain amount of time, the ad space if it plays a non video ad, it seems like its stuck there, like it is for me (right now), I don't know if there's ad refresh rate, because most of the time, this particular video ad space has only played videos, and most of the time you have to click play to make it go away and then after a few ads have played it then goes away. It's impossible for it to go away (without a refresh rate) if the ad isn't a video ad that can "play."

I will understand if it needs the stay the way it is, but there really has to be a way to fix it, if it's completely out of your control, I understand, and I will have to deal it. I just thought I'd at least try to discuss the issue I've faced.

I'm not sure what Ads your talking about. I haven't gotten a single ad on this game.

Both browsers I use, chrome and maxthon, both have ad pop up blockers, but even with that said, I've never seen ads even when using IE or FF. Might want to check to see if you have spyware/malware or an addon to your browser that's adding them in...

Hello there!

We do not have any video ads included in our game. If you are seeing these, it is highly likely that you are infected with either malware or adware. Never fear though, these aren't as serious as other problems. You should be able to remove them with malware bytes, which is what I use to scan my computer. The free version should do it.

Now that I've investigated something since it seems I'm the only person affected, I think the issue, and if the icons ARE the same, then I believe it's because I had infoatoms as an add-on, though I don't remember how that happened how I got that add-on.

I think it has the same general icon, of a blue dialogue box with a white circle. I think that might have been it. The video ads don't always pop up so I wasn't able to get a screenshot, but I think that might be it.

i haven't seen any video ads in the forums. id run some malware and anti-virus programs.

There are video adds on several of the fan sites that do tend to run in the background, including some of the wiki's. Which URL's are you having trouble with the video adds?
