More info from the Geologist when we are offline?

Can we get a msg in the mail or something when about what the geologist discovers (if anything) while we are offline? I'm getting tired of having to search the whole map looking for deposites, or worse having to send him out again because I don't know if he actually found anything or if I'm at max.

cempire.org has a resouce map deposits are always located in the same spots. so if you send out for a given resource it will only be in a few spots
