Add your own events to the calendar!

A few months ago, we started utilizing our built-in calendar to provide a centralized space for all of our events. By clicking the Calendar link at the top of the forums, you can be informed of upcoming maintenance, GM Trivia events and other official events.

However, our calendar doesn't include the multiple events that you guys host in-game: auctions, trivias, etc. Now, you'll have the chance to post these events to the Calendar as well.

RULES

• These must be events that are open to the public. It cannot be for a particular guild only or for particular adventures.
• All events will go into a moderation queue to be approved by a BB staff member. Please submit your event at least a week in advance to give us time to request edits and approve the event.
• Blatant abuse of the system will result in an infraction, determined on a case by case basis.
• Make your events as specific as possible. They MUST include the basic information listed below.
• Keep it concise. If your event includes rules, lists, etc., please make a separate thread in the Events and Promotions forum and link to it in your event.
• Events must occur in-game or in our forums. No off-site events allowed.
• If you are unsure if your event complies with the rules, please message BB_Rawren or BB_Nellemose.
• BB-sponsored events will have the [UBI] bracket in the title.
• Blue Byte is not responsible for player-made events. Therefore, we will not compensate for missing, donated or stolen items. You enter into player-events at your own risk.

HOW TO ADD YOUR EVENT

• Click the Calendar link at the top of the page.
• Click on the "Create New Event" button at the top right.
• Fill out the necessary information. Your post must include the following, if relevant:
  Date: Just reiterate the date here, just so we can double check. Include if the event has a time span.
  Time: Use military time or specify a time zone.
  Server: Zeus or Ares. Or forums. Or both.
  Event Type: Options are: In-game contest, Forum contest, Auction, Trivia, Other.
  Organizer: Provide a valid username that players can contact for more information or questions.
  Link: If your event has a forum thread associated with it, include it here.
  Specific Details: Provide concise information about the event. 1-2 sentences tops.
• Hit "Save Event."
• You will see "Your event will not appear on the calendar until it is approved by the moderator."
• Wait! If approved, your event will appear on the calendar within a week. If not, one of the BB's will message you for more information.

Since this is a new process, there may be changes to the structure and rules. We'll keep this thread updated with any new rules or stipulations as necessary.
