    Improved silo can't keep up with 3 farms

    The new Improved Silo cannot possibly keep up with three farms of the same level, for a simple mathematical reason. It produces in 1/3 the time of a farm, but the travel time isn't 1/3 the time of a farm. In the time it takes three farms to cycle, the Improved silo worker has to travel three times, while each farmer has traveled only once. Even with best placement, an extra regular silo is needed here and there just to keep up and avoid having to apply wheat deposits manually, which is the whole point of having silos to begin with.

    In order to fix this problem, and have the Improved Silo really keep up with three farms, the production time needs to be cut, or the amount of wheat deposited with each cycle needs to be increased, or the silo worker has to travel three times as fast as any other worker on the island (the most troublesome solution). Exactly how to do it could be worked out with algebra (given, say, an average farm travel time of 48 seconds), or various production cycles could be tested until a good cycle length is found. Four minutes is obviously too much, for the reason stated.

    Just to show I have tested this, on my island the total levels of silos matches the total levels of farms, and the silos are placed with balanced travel time, but my (5) level 5 Improved Silos require an additional (3) level 4 regular silos to keep up. Previously, equal levels of regular silos to farms kept up just fine.

    I would appreciate it if a developer reads this and posts a reply that the problem has been noted for future correction.

    It was obvious from the start (and it was raised as an issue with "false advertisement" of the new Silo as being 3x times as good as the old ones). Probably the best approach would have been to leave the cycle 12min and make the default output 3x. Wasn't adjusted and to be honest I don't see it as being a problem. After all 3 old silos cost 3x750 gems, and the improved one is "just" 1995, plus it saves space, so arguably you should not expect to be 3x times better than Old silos

    Fuscus I like your solution, & it would still be easy to implement, leaving the cycle 12 minutes but tripling output. That would work.

    Some of the space the Improved silo is supposed to save has to be given back for extra silos, since the Improved Silo can't keep up. I don't agree that I "should not expect" truth in advertising here because this thing is such a great deal.
