I agree that the prices in the trade office are very expensive - because it is the place of last resort for most ppl. Do yourself a favor and make getting explorers your first priority. They return eggs a good amount of the time, also a steady stream of expert items and will be useful for the next event. Just keep them searching! Then you won't be relying on prices that other ppl set. Please note that you can usually get EXTRA explorers in these events even if you have maxed out otherwise.
