Hidden Egg Hunt Buff Bug

Ok, so logged in today for the start of the easter event and find that a guild mate (also on my friends list) has buffed my mayor house with one of the new buffs "Hidden Egg Hunt".

This buff is supposed to spawn 10 eggs on your friends island after buffing them, and both players receive the rewards for finding and collecting these eggs.

However, I only have my regular old collectibles showing on my island, and no sub-quest mentioning anything about finding hidden eggs.

So I found my 19 regular collectibles, logged off and refreshed my browser hoping that would trigger the eggs to spawn, and still nothing.

Now as far as I'm aware, I now have to wait another 24hrs before another buff can be placed on my mayors house that will spawn an egg hunt.

I'm worried for my guild mates and friends wasting anymore buffs due to this bug, if anyone has had this happen please let me know here and if you found a work around for it.

I have submitted a ticket to BB.

I have checked with others in the guild and both other friends and guild mates haven't had problems.

CL's I spoken to say there are a few people in Ares experiencing this bug, not so many from Zeus however.


^Shows my buff timer and mayors house is buffed.


^Shows I have collected my regular buffs and no sub-quest to find 10eggs has appeared.


UPDATE: Just buffed a friend/guild mate who is:

a) offline and
b) has regular collectibles not found on his island and his eggs spawned right away....



BB should really compensate my guild mate for wasting his buff like that...

Bump. Anyone else have this problem? My friend is still down a Hidden Egg Hunt buff...

also having the same problem here, 2 of my guild mates have buffed my mayors house and another guild mates mayors house and nothing has showed up egg wise on either island......there is still over 4 hours left on the buffs and nothing to show for it please fix this

are you guys missing the progress bar under the collectibles tab in the quest book? there's supposed to be a green bar telling you how many eggs are left to find. if the eggs arent there and the bar isnt there, the only thing that took is the visual buff light on mayor house. there have been a few reports of glitches on buff lights (barracks, a noble, etc) I wonder if it's related.

Having the same problem myself. Mayor's house window shows buff countdown clock. Buff lights show in main window. But no eggs.

i had the task in the collectables tab. there was a seperate window for egg hunt

Same issue. Somebody gave me the buff but I didn't receive the quest. The eggs didn't spawn either. Given that I received the quest 2 times before, I have no idea why it didn't this time.

CL_RigidNubs: be careful trading the egg hunt buff...it will only give the reward if you on each others friend list...guild mates do not count unless on friends list

Another BB screw up. My guildmates don't need to be friends, they are.
