By the time I was able to read the email requesting that I send a screenshot to 'prove' my complaint, the buff was finished. A screenshot showing the absence of eggs to hunt and the quest missing in the log proves nothing anyway since that is also how it would look if I'd actually received the eggs to hunt and the quest was completed. Still waiting to see if we receive the 10 eggs each we're owed.
don't count on it. they did the same to me when the new quest came out when the collectibles first came out.
I have the same issue. I'll have to warn people to not drop them on my island anymore.

I have seen the same issue and found two options ...
1) Make sure you are ON your island when your friend drops the buff, I have never seen it fail to work this way. If you get the buff when you are logged off or on an adventure island or visiting a friends island I have seen it fail.
2) BEST PRACTICE: stop making the Egg Hunt buffs and just make the 10 eggs. This is the route I am going the rest of the event. Yes, it is selfish but I know I will always get 10 eggs this way.

Now I am getting random buildings producing zero output with a buff timer of 24hrs, can someone explain this buff bug?
