Whenever someone buffs my mayors house the eggs get hidden and I can find them, but I don't get a progress bar in my quest log until well after I've found them all AND received the email. Last night, the quest suddenly popped up as completed about 4 hours after I found and received all of the eggs.

Still no compensation or explanation as to why this buff didn't work for me, and what looks like a few others.
Everything mentioned in this thread I have tried, checked and tested. The person that buffed me WAS on my friends list and a guild mate.
There was nothing that showed up in the quest log to indicate the eggs had spawn, I keep hearing that it was suppose to show up as a separate sub-quest to the Easter event and also separate to the regular collectibles bar. Even after finding all my normal collectibles, refreshing ,rebooting, clearing cache, did not cause the eggs to spawn.
The pictures I've provided both show this.
This is the response I was given after sending in a support ticket to BB:

I feel that BB is very short handed and haven't been able to put things together for Easter that make sense.
To make the hidden egg buff not work on guild mates only friends is really dumb. I have 59 guildmates and only 15 are on my friend list. I feel that a guildmate is automatically a friend. Why the heck do I have to make them a "friend" to make the Easter program playable. Someone is not thinking. (Maybe me??)

The bug doesnt seem to affect everyone, only a few.
Lag will prevent the progress bar from showing, but that was fixed with a refresh.
For everyone complaining about guildies being on friends list, click on the guildmates name in your list. If you don't have the option to 'unfriend' them, then they are not on your friends list. You will have to manually add them by clicking on the 'add friend' option and typing their name. Just because you're in the guild together doesn't automatically make you friends.
My guildmates tell me that they are getting eggs from guildmates who are not friends.

A guildmate put the buff on my mayor's. I found 10 eggs and he got 10 eggs and he is not a friend, just a guildmate. I guess either it is fixed or I am lucky.

This bug affected me this afternoon and I was buffed by a guildmate who is also on my friends list so that's not one of the problems at least for me. I logged in about an hour after he buffed me and I received the buff mail too but not the eggs or the quest in my quest log. Also, my afternoon collectibles had already spawned and I thought the spawn was about an hour early though maybe not.
Screwy game!!
