How do you make dirt roads?

Used to be, when you used Build Street, it put down the normal stone road
between your start and end waypoints.

Then if you Remove Street on any available adjacent square
the stone road would turn into a dirt road.

After one of the recent updates this changed for some reason.

Now if you Remove Street on any available adjacent square
the stone road doesn't change.

Instead, a dirt road now turns into a stone road.
(which you can do anyway by using Build Street over a dirt road if you want to change it)

Can't find any info on the change or how to place a dirt road in the forums.

Any ideas?

dev must have patched it for some reason. they like to do that

Hello.

The style of the road changes as you level up. As far as I am aware there is no way to change this. If there was any other sort of behavior, I'd guess it was just a glitch.
