I am UPSET to learn that all of my Easter collectibles DISAPPEARED. I thought the intent was no more earning new rewards, but I viewed turning collectibles into eggs as merely cashing in what I had already earned during the next week. To me, that would be like taking away my eggs. Instructions about "removal phase" were vague and incomplete. I lost the ability to cash in another 50 eggs. Count me as one VERY DISPPOINTED PLAYER.
Last week I accidentally visited the UK page and on the front of it was a link to a very full, clear and concise explanation of the Phase 1 removal. I fail to see why the folks who administer the US site could not have given us that info in an equally understandable manner. It boggles my mind.Originally Posted by Senilus

No, sir. It does not surprise me in the slightest.
You should still have collectibles, though they will not be of much use any time soon.
But the info is in the patch notes (via a link to the Dev Diary for Removal Phase I), so it wasn't a secret.
