I'm not trying to be a BB apologist -- there are a lot of problems with this game (and I've been dealing with a lot of stuff that doesn't work for several weeks -- trying to load gens for adventures when you can't see the total loaded troops because the settlers tool tip stopped working sucks), we should spend our energy on the stuff that's really broken.spoiler alert...they don't. feel free to prove me wrong BB apologist, and i will grudgingly accept it.
Here's how you get to the info:
1a. Go to: http://www.thesettlersonline.net/en
1b. Open the "Maintenance" notice by clicking the "+" on the right side -- they roll up after the maint is done, but they are open before maint.
2. Click the word "patch" to see the notes for that maintenance. (Same as always.)
3. In the patch notes, click the word "here" to see the full explanation. (Extra info because this was a big deal.)
The info gets posted, and the CLs are usually aware of when maint is and what's involved. When you guys have questions (and there were lots this week), we beat the BBs up to get specifics so we can get the word out. On Ares, we were posting a message about it across Global, Help, and Trade about every 1.5 hours to make sure everyone knew what was happening. If that didn't happen on Zeus, I can only say that I'm sorry. The next maintenance (with Removal Phase 2) is scheduled for next Tuesday night. Sometime next Monday night or Tuesday morning, that post will go on the front page, and it will point to patch notes which will point to the details since it's a big one. And about every 1.5 hours I'll be on Ares chat spamming people with reminders that the Easter shop is going away.
Maint is normally on Wednesday nights, but when there are events involved they shift to some other night (usually Tuesday) to coincide with the time limit of that event. Why Tuesday for Easter? I have no idea.

ok, i grudgingly accept this.
although...this was the post that originally stated that the shop would be removed on the 29th and was last edited yesterday...so i can only assume that the correct information was up at the right time.
The problem was that the patch notes read that the WHOLE event was going to finish up this past maintance, there was no way you knew this was not true (for sure) because not until the next day of the patch notes update I spoke with a BB who then made the change ( the day of the scheduled maintance). I haven't commented on this thread till now because I personally don't care too much about it, tho if the original patch note update was not fixed and the entire event finished this past maintance I would have a whole lot more to say. Maybe I don't understand this whole convo and am wrong then I apologize but from what I took of this ur claim is that u were giving updates about the event to ur server before the BBs even knew what was going on with the updated patch notes. Again it really didn't affect me, BBs are human (I think, lol) and ppl make mistakes and the quicker this event ends I can initiate my trade plans....

Sometimes when there is a mistake in the notes, we can get that info from various BBs. But only Rawren can update the patch notes and main page -- so, it's possible for us to get updated or corrected info and start trying to get the word out before the maint notice gets updated. Unfortunately, that's just something we have to deal with for now. *sigh*

Yeah but I don't think that is what happened because cls were made aware of this issue when the update was first posted and no BBs were online at the time..... The next morning I saw susu online and brought it up to her who then talked to rawren who then made the correction.....
