This event's been really cool. Nice extras and fresh stuff.

Would be great if some other stuff at the bottom of the chains could be upgraded to lv 6.
Like Silos/improved silos, Endless coppers, Watermills, Deerstalkers, Fishermen for example.

It would be very nice if more shoes were available in the collections. Really, I don't need anymore barrels to add to my 3000 barrels. I didn't get a single shoe in the last collection quest and I can't complete this without shoes. Whoever did the math on what we'd need and what we got didn't do a very good job. (sorry to say but it is true) I have collected every single time and I can't get enough shoes!

Totally amazing! Master Architect costs 190 s. balls (around 4000 gc), but I got rabbid statue (WORTH 25GC!!) .... 6 TIMES and also other crap. 1,500 s balls (30k GC) exchanged for like 500gc decorations!!! GREAT JOB!!! </sarcasm>

Ya, I wasn't entirely sure that was the case, but I'm sure you're right. I think if they *had* enabled rares on the find, it would have brought the necessary balance to the marketplace. I'm perfectly ok with it being rather difficult to complete event matches, but when your missing buff components are costing 5k gc to beat a match, it makes completing them not worthwhile. I'd be better off just selling my rare collectibles and buying soccer balls. I don't think this is what was intended, otherwise I believe the matches themselves would be tradeable. Either way, I just wish they'd consider this for next time.

I liked the games, didn't like the rarity of needed components to make things though. It's not the overall difficulty, but it's like the game is laughing at you (or the devs) when you get hundreds of items you don't need (you get lots of them, and don't make the things they are needed for that often), and ones you do are rare and what you need them for are the main ones you craft (shoes as everyone knows).

TBH a lot of the whining is because people did not minimize things in the proper order, and ended up using a lot more shoes, springs, and peels then they needed,
More of the same "new" content with a different bow? I will give more of the "same" towards my gem accumulation.

Yeah, because it's not like Header/Penalty Kick and Bicycle/Penalty Kick aren't always paired together so you have to use springs or shoes.
And like Pass and Corner Ball being paired and both use shoes.
So can really save on shoe there also by looking ahead. But I'm sure it was just all random luck it turned out that way.

My initial reaction was pretty much the same as the general reaction has been. Even being conservative with my hard to find buffs, it would be a struggle to get enough, though I figured it was ultimately a doable task, even if it did mean buying up some stragglers toward the end.

After calculating the cost of soccer balls compared to the cost of collectibles, I ended up just selling collectibles instead, using some of the profits to buy the soccer balls I needed and missed out on from not doing the final match. Once I did this and embraced the collectible market rather than cursing it, I actually found I quite enjoyed the remainder of the event. It was interesting and profitable, and I got a nice crash course on the trade market, learning some valuable lessons in the process.

I'm not sure the whole issue of scarcity was completely accidental and/or a problem. It did encourage both solid planning and, regardless, cooperation in order to actually complete the entire event quest chain. Of course, this meant that lower level players were likely out of luck, but that pretty much happens in every event, where those with 18 explorers dictate the out of reach trade office pricing.

Anyway, as far as the prizes, I am quite pleased. None of them are quite the game changer that Christmas and Easter were, but they are still nice to have. I ended up with two lucky explorers, who I was pleasantly surprised keep returning extra stuff (I thought they were just fast) and +5 building licenses, in addition to two floating residences and an improved storehouse. Can't complain about that.

As a new player ( this was my first event) I thought it very difficult and confusing. way too many on some things and not near enough of others. Just starting out I only had one slow explorer which added to the problem. plus sitting there doing all the math and figuring out what you needed just wasn't fun.
