I would have closed it myself if I was capable.. it's obvious that we, not only, have no say but no influence at all. so why continue talking about?

I, for one, would feel it a shame to close this thread because of the inability of a few players follow what appear to be a very specific rule that should have been repeated enough times already. Of course, due to the removal of the posts for those same people, it will simply appear that our forum manager is acting arbitrarily, when in fact she has done an outstanding job in keeping those same people able to continue participating.

As brought up previously, there are things in the game that are beyond our ability to change. Many times this does not represent the lack of desire to change things, but the lack of ability, either at the moderator or at the customer service level. The moderators are tasked to ensure specific standards are maintained. Some of these are "set in stone", while others have room for considerable leeway. The moderators and the customer service team are looking for ways where that leeway can improve player experiences without failing to meet the requirements given to them. From the level of the customer service team, game functions are "set in stone", as they are set by the developers that get their feedback from all the game servers. The customer service team is in the same position as the players; requests can be made, but are not necessarily entered in the game. In these cases, we still want to work with players to find workable solutions.

And it is not true that players, including these posts on the forum, have not made an influence on the moderator program and the guidelines that are followed. Player actions have led to the reconsidering of what types of links can be posted. Player actions have also led to the consideration of different types of reporting that is being done, and how they will need to be addressed. Individual player interactions also influence the moderators in demonstrating what methods of enforcement work the best in different circumstances. Although while people are quick to point out the effects of positive interactions, they are not as fast to point out the more influential negative interactions, especially when applied personally.

I have seen people bashing all day today and not seen any action taken.

I have a lady in my guild 62 years of age I wont mention her name a very sweet woman. She was a officer for me and help me recruit after 3 days of her posting she could not do it no more. These bashings against members who try to recruit needs a strict ban. Also the ones who mock and do harassment against us who post for members.

If people don't like guilds then do yourself a favor and just don't say nothing. If you dont have nothing nice to say just don't say it.

I have not seen any mods today and I don't know them maybe there friends with some of these people doing the bashing I do not know.
All I know is I would like someone to go through the guild chat for today and you will see what I mean for global 1.

But being a bully and attacking people should not be tolerated

Sorry to hear that you've been seeing this behavior, Axedigger. Since our moderators are volunteers, this means that chat may not be monitored at times. If you find that a player is being harassed in-game, please report that player using our Support tool so our Support team can investigate the situation and take the appropriate actions. You can also send an email directly to harassment.support@thesettlersonline.net.

Ok BB's, THIS IS CLEARLY NOT HAPPENING. Rather, exactly what we as players were initially concerned about has happened. You have one or two moderators who have become abusive and intolerant of any person that questions their actions and issues chat bans at the drop of a hat. I have personally submitted two reports regarding two specific moderators and, based on the PM's that I received after posting about it in the forum, so have a number of other players. I have yet to receive a response to either report that I've submitted other than the automated response from BB that my report was received and that if I'm being harassed I should ignore the person. Unfortunately, I can't put a mod on ignore........ I received a ban last evening while having a PRIVATE conversation with a Mod that by no stretch of the imagination violated the TOS or was rude or harassing. My offense was evidently questioning the appropriateness of the warning that he/she issued in global chat. Who has reviewed my ban and when? Who has reviewed my reports and those of the other players? Why is/are that/those particular Mod(s) still in the program?

Please do what you promised to do and police the Mod program.

I saw no good coming from this, which is why I resigned before they could convert me to a MOD ... and even I have gotten a ban warning. Youch.

My guess is they signed the same NDA I did -- so if they got outted about revealing their identity, bad things (ok, let's be honest -- what, really) happen.
