Why not route 66?

Because we spent our whole lives growing up, vacationing in Ocean City, MD. As you leave on Route 50, there is a highway sign that has the mileage to Baltimore -- but it also has the mileage to Sacramento, CA (3072 miles, allegedly) since route 50 terminates there. We were crazy enough that we wanted to know how many miles it really was. There is a sign just like it as you are leaving Sacramento, CA -- with the mileage to Ocean City. We wanted to get a picture of that sign, but some vandals had stolen it just before we arrived. A local newspaper posted an article about our trip, and readers sent in pictures of the sign. I was able to print one to add to our scrapbook. (And we stayed in a hotel full of Hells Angels on that trip -- lots of fun for the BMW riders. )

I think that's a great idea. I was hoping that the whole "demolishing some mountains buff" thing would work out and give us more space, but I think it died on the vine.

Right now, I think my favorite Disney movie is "Secret of the Wings", where Tinkerbell meets her sister, and Tinkerbell is my favorite Disney character.
