Where are my gems/gold? The achievement was green as soon as the system became active but I didn't get any rewards.
The first phase of the system was put in on May 5th. According to the patch notes, rewards began to be given out on that date.
But we did NOT receive any notices of the rewards, so you may not have noticed you received them. If the achievement is green
you did get the rewards for it.

How do i complete the red mountains/black mountains (mines: 800 copper, 3100 coal)
If you have certain geo skills, the copper one should complete once you find 3 mines over 800.
Both can be completed by adding small deposits to each mine. Copper and coal deposits can be found in the merchant. (and sometimes in trade) You can break up a larger depo by sending the amount you need to a friend, and have them decline the trade.
Lay of the land says find 55 deposits, but there are only 54 on my island...?
This achievement can *only be completed if you have the geologist skill "lucky find" which allows you to find one of those marble/iron spots that's normally blocked. It may take several tries to get it.
Wait, I've already done these adventures/made these books, etc. Why didn't i get credit for what I've already done?
This new system only started tracking what you've done since May 5th. Everyone starts from 0. It auto counted certain ones, like levels, but not many.
Does tagging an adventure count for the achievements?
Yes, and it only looks at your losses when determining the requirements. For example, the main player might use soldiers, but if you tag with only recruits, yours will still complete a "use 0 soldiers' achievement. (Just don't tag with MMA, see bug report below.)
Use 0 soldiers/cavalry, etc.
If you take even 1 of these troops to the adventure, even if you don't use it, the achievement won't complete. Seems the achievement is tracking sending the troop and saying that = troop use. Note the MMA gen doesn't work with these achievements, and Lost Skull ach. has a wording error.
Fish Food, Deer Fragrance NOT BUG, INTENTIONAL
Using fish food/meat depo from the RPH does NOT work for Sea of Bread, Fragrance
Has to come from the regular provision house, not the rarity provision house. Back to clicking....

BUGS/ISSUES MENTIONED BY PLAYERS
Adventures and MMA
Using the MMA general on the adventures does NOT complete the achievements. CONFIRMED BUG
This seems to apply to the achievements that require "use no X (soldiers, cav, etc.) Players are reporting the other achievements are completing when the MMA is used.
Artillerist got this info back from BB: The devs are aware of a known issue, preventing adventure achievements from completing. they are investigating the situation at the moment. it appears that if you used an MMA general to complete the adventure and the MMA gen got kills, then the achievement will not trigger. Thank you for your patience while the devs work to fix this situation
Red Mountain
Won't complete for some players, even when the green bar shows all requirements met. Cause unknown at this time.
Lost Skull: Horses Can't Swim
Title and instructions conflict. It should be 'use no cavalry,' but actually requires you to use no soldiers. If you hover over the box that says 'no cav' the detailed instructions include cav, but not soldiers. It was evidently coded incorrectly and not caught during testing.
Breweries / Friaries
I know this was mentioned back in testing. Many upper levels have friaries to make brew and long ago tore down breweries, yet we don't get credit for having the larger building. Some players don't have room left to build 5 breweries just to turn around and tear them down again.
Bookbinder Books
We understand that the system just started tracking stuff. However, it shouldn't be to difficult to extrapolate how many books we've already made, based on the cost of the current books. Players who are near or at the max cost of making books will take much longer to get this achievement than someone who just started the game. Which means long term players are being penalized for having already done the tasks. This defeats the purpose of having achievements.
Skills: Specializations
There are reports that some of these achievements are not completing, even though the requirements are met.
Achievement Calculations
There is an error in the number of total achievements listed from player to player. The range seems to show from 220-228 achievements (that I've seen.) For individual achievements, it might say for example: 1 of 4 completed, when there are clearly 5 achievements in that section (5 pictures.) This is clearly seen when using the comparison tool.

General - Home Island - Building Boon - Have at least 1 permanent building slot queue(s) (130 points)

General - Home Island - Hoarder - Have 100 non-specialist items in the star menu (70 points)
...giving "General" a max of 35; with "Home Island" a max of 13
Economy - Buildings - Wonderland - Build 100 decorative buildings on your island (130 points)
Economy - Buildings - Celebration - Build 20 event-related decorative buildings on the map (130 points)
...giving "Economy" a max of 54; with "Buildings" a max of 16
