They drop, but seemingly rarer than anything else other than maybe the banana peel. Shoes need to drop more.
Still studless. These seem to be limited to treasure searches and adventure loot, rather than island collectibles. Going by Alice's spreadsheet, I need 63 stud buffs for the whole event (just over 2 per day). So far I'm at 14, so about 1 per day. I think I can limp may way through the semifinals, but I don't think it's possible to do the final match, unless I happen to come across a bunch of extra shoes instead. Might try to find some in the trade office if I can find some deals that are not completely absurd. 60 coins each? What the heck?
