last soccer balls from explorer, where are they?

sent out 18 explorers before the end of the event 15 came back so far a zero soccer balls after maintenance, the other 3 still need 1 more day but im thinking they will come back with zero, past events you got items eggs, pumpkins, ie. If you sent out before the end of event.

0 out of 18, last 3 came in empty, i like a few at the end so it makes starting it next time easier

What happens to Explorers who were sent before the deactivation but are still searching?
If you are lucky, your explorer might bring some footballs from his last search -------- is this you way telling of a change or was the a maintenance "cough" issue.

So where are they?

mine didnt bring any either. seems it was all disabled at the same time.

So all I can do is confirm.. came as a surprise...
probably next time onwards, need to target the event end time as return time for all explorers..

PS - Have to say, it was odd to see number of slots from LE reduce from 6-8 in number to 2.. Fun while it lasted

I'm actually glad not to get a load of event items AFTER the event is over. Yep, it's different this time than any other event we've had, but it's preferable. With the shop closed, what the heck do I need more balls for anyway? Hope it stays this way. By the time an event's over, I'm totally sick of soccer balls, or presents or whatever.

I like having a jump start next time, though with Easter it was good because you could still use them in the shop.

When's next time? It's not really a yearly event. I'm okay with this. I specifically sold all my balls right before the end anyway.

world cup and euro cup are held every 4 yrs, alternating, so there's a championship every 2 years.

Yep, 0 event items. Should have sent my explorers out for adventures... Won't miss this event, that is for sure. (The first that I have said that about).
