Game not updating (showing buffs, new mines etc)

This started happening 3 or 4 days ago. Everything plays normally when I first log in, but after usually an hour or so everything just stops updating. If a friend buffs me I will get mails about buffs I can't see. If I search for a mine I know I have room for I will get a message that I failed to find one, but if I refresh the exhausted mine is gone and the newly found one is there. Sometimes battles don't finish until I refresh and when I do the army is already home. List goes on and on, but you get the point.

I've tried clearing my cache which hasn't seemed to make a difference, not sure what else to try.

Edit: I just lost a bunch of ES due to killing a camp that I was intercepted by and then not being able to recall because on my screen the fight never ended. Basically it turns into a race of trying to refresh the page, hoping the camp was defeated, but hoping my general didn't make it to the next one yet. Bug is a bit more problematic than I first thought.
