PVP made my game too slow, so I'm forced to quit

I just sent my messages to my friends thanking them.
The PVP revision made this game too aggravating to play anymore.
I wait several seconds now to complete every move. I cannot take it.
I begged Support for help, but it shows only players with the newer computers can now play this game, thanks to the PVP revisions.
If you do decide to let those of us with older computers return to this game, please email us. I can check periodically to see if you will let us again play, but I assume it is a lost cause. Thank you for letting me play as long as you did, before phasing me out.
At least I can vouch everyone who works here, and volunteers here, is considerate and patient. You have good people working for you. Sadly, the decision to go PVP means those of us with older computers must now leave.
I feel like they just closed my favorite restaurant. I will miss this game.

This seems a bit premature - there's another thread in here where a BB acknowledged the lag issues & said they're working on it. Without knowing anything about your machine in particular, the sheer number of people complaining about lag means the problem isn't with the client machines. The problem is on the server side.

As someone who's been around for nearly 2 years, I can't imagine why your patience ran out now. Has the game taught you nothing?

Once the hubbub dies down and the load on the server is less, it may improve.

I checked after 10 days assuming there would be no change. The five second time lag after clicking a move is gone. The popup displays appear completely, not partially as before.
Help confirmed you removed the time lag.
I am astonished you installed changes this quickly.
I have only one stone mason. The poor guy mined everything he could on the map during the ten days I was away. I have only one geologist booked to find stone. He is now exhausted.
I did not anticipate you would fix this, let alone so rapidly. I offer my sheepish apology for doubting both your capabilities, and your willingness to remove the time lag/partial popup displays on the older computers.
Hobknocker – please understand I wrote my message based on what Support emailed to me. They were sympathetic, but it pointed toward the PVP installation upgrading the game past the capabilities of the older computers. I was devastated.

Application Development Truth #1: Software people ALWAYS blame hardware for performance issues. Rarely believe them, and ALWAYS react skepticallly.

That's based on 30+ years as in the software development business.

Or the database, the devs sure like to blame the database....it's ok though, we all know it's the network anyway
