Thread: Adv server problems with goofy general travel

    Running a Dark Brotherhood today and it went largely as expected, but when waving down the Dervishes on the last tower things started getting a little goofy. Armies re-attacking 3 or 4x in a row long after their troops were dead, some waves seemingly disappearing or not having the expected results on the tower, whether it was related to the odd phantom armies or just a change I didn't spot I'm not sure. Took just over 1300 calvary to wave down what use to to take 1000-1050.

    BB_Endesmor, Just a follow up on this thread since it has been several days. I want to be sure you know there is still an issue.

    Today in two different battles, two different adventures, the same thing happened.
    Basically, I open the general's window, set the troops for the battle, and send him to attack (on the second instance, I actually watched him leave on his horse, on the way to battle), then a few moments later I go back to check on him and find that he is back at his camp, the troops are no longer set, and the battle he was sent on never happened.

    The first time it happened today, I had sent two other generals behind him, to attack bandit camps further away. The first general "reset" and did not do his battle, leaving the second two generals to be intercepted, thus losing a great deal of cannoneers.

    I know you are already aware and working on these types of issues, can you give us an update?

    I would like to add on to the list. Numerous players in our guild are reporting similar problems. It is almost impossible to do adventures right now.
    BB, could we have an update please? It has been almost 2 weeks.

    The troop mix didn't take for some idiotic reason. The adventure servers have a problem. Is this going to be responded to and acted upon or not?

    Attacking with 2 or more generals makes the glitch worse. It seemed like the hover icon for the troop count was hanging up. The general walked back and forth 3 times, each time the server connection would drop, the general changed direction.
    I think playability could be improved by disabling the troop hover icon.

    I submitted the exact same problem to Support, and this was their response:

    Thank you for contacting Support regarding an intercepted General and wrong attack order.

    Even though on your screen it shows the general making It to the targeted camp on the server your general had already been intercepted. This is caused by lag, because support is not able to control the latency at which a players game is able to send and receive information from the host servers, blocking is not supported.

    Many player made guides will use this tactic but player are using a blocking move at their own risk. Support does not recommend using this tactic as it can be misleading and often times uncontrollable. I strongly recommend attacking the camps in the order presented to you versus attempting any form of block.

    Although blocking may be unsupported, the overall adventure problems are not caused by an unsupported technique but rather PVP bugginess. I've been doing pretty good on the whole, though, despite the lag/generals doing weird things.
