The population
I read the patch notes. It could be me, but I don't understand the explanation at all. I have almost 9k units trained (not assigned to any general) yet my population says 5800/11000.
Maybe I am just a simple minded folk but this math just doesn't add up. My population can't be 5800 if I have 9k standing army. Care to explain this BB? Now, trade chat is buzzing of folks training "extra" units like crazy. What is going to happen to the extra (over population trained units) when you guys "fix" this?
A new way to mess up already messed up relations with your clients? What if tomorrow all those thousands of units "poof"? Lol, my god you guys just can't get a break can yah?

I have a similar Problem, I had Max Population last night now I have 2000 extra People filling in, yet I have all my units. Are pvp Units free from POP cap now?

If you look at your drop down, you'll see the main numbers up above your assigned and unassigned units. Those are the numbers that the patch changed. The military units were cut in half for everyone, even though no units were actually deleted. That is why the assigned and unassigned troops do not match the military units number. So as you do adventures which kill/train troops, the military units will increase and the assigned/unassigned troops will decrease/increase. Eventually the two will match up again and then everything will be correct. All they did was change numbers, and not affect any actual troops, as it was the calculated numbers that were wrong. If you want it to display correct faster, do adventures to kill half your troops to bring the actual troop numbers down or below the miltiary units number. However, you don't have to do this as you will do it over time as you run adventures and expeditions. How fast depends on how often you do adventures.
As for are PVP units free from the POP cap, the answer is no. They still count.

Thank you for this explanation Zami. So, all I got to do is keep doing adventures till the numbers finally catch up. Good to know

This change gave me 1750 more population capacity. If I now build 1750 more troops and never go above 1750 free capacity (i.e. kill more than 1750 troops without making more simultaneously), I think the numbers will be off indefinitely. Did I understand correctly? Sounds like a really bad idea.

Yep it just doesn't add up. I have killed about 3k R since and remade them in barracks..My numbers are still way off. I just don't get it. One thing for sure, I am not going to waste my Can/ES to "fix" what is not my fault anyway.
