What a strange thing to get worked up about.
...First of all you have no idea what my population is....Second - I have "worked through" 6000 troops today - just to keep ending up with the same dilemma - 4000 more have to go to hit the target. -Make troops - the target goes up - kill them off the target goes back down. You end up in the same place. What am I supposed to be - Sisyphus? - With the "reset" if you woke up with (a) large populations (b) low on recruits because of heavy adventuring and (c) with only elite troops (who are dependent upon the recently removed and now expensive upper end weapons; or were built for PvP in large quantities for expeditions) left to reduce to hit the newly -established military target as part of the "fix" target - you are being asked to sacrifice these troops as the game's solution to their action.

That is the only conclusion I can draw today - after killing off 4k troops and having mad NO PROGRESS to the stated "fix."

Yes - If I had woken up with 12k recruits - I could have "worked through" them and reset the population - supposedly.

But in these circumstances - whether it is an unintended consequence or not - the outcome is forced consumption of expensive elite commodities to fix a game glitch.

The majority of you complain about this all the time in the forum! How would anyone not be worked up by being asked to kill of 1000 cavalry 1000 elites 600 cannon 600 xbows 500 soldiers and/or 2000 PvP troops to reset a game flaw. Sheesh...

YES you are getting it now. Because I had relatively few recruits - my "reset" gap of 4k has to come from the high end troops that existed at the moment of the reset. I might get there over the course of a week of doing high end adventures and not replacing them in the barracks prematurely - but the NET EFFECT of what the game is taking away from me for the Fix is ridiculous - even though it MAY be unintended....

    2 STEPS!

    (1) LOOK AT THE RESET MILITARY UNITS (for me 2279)
    (2) LOOK AT EXISTING TROOPS (for me 6582 after riding all day slaughtering troops on SE, VLT and BLT) -
    (3) CHOOSE THE TROOPS THAT MUST DIE. (For me it was not pretty as I was low on recruits.)

NO MATTER WHAT TROOPS YOU ADD TO THE BARRACKS POST -RESET -YOU END UP IN THE SAME PLACE.

LOL don't be silly I know exactly what your population is since you put it in your post... and it was kinda small but don't worry your secret is safe with me I won't tell any women.

I do follow though if you are right, seems like they put in a hasty and dumb fix. But even then it just seems like you will now have extra population until attrition of failed blocks eventually catches up to you...... the crosses you have to bear!

But yea if the extra population is going to drive you wild some cav sacs seem to be in order.

Well it looks like you caught a break. The game lost my full reply- Too Funny. But anyway - NO - I did not post my pop but if you guessed 12k by adding my troops killed today with my current troops - you are closer to the truth. Thanks for not sharing with the ladies. I have seen all the guys in the shower with larger troops than I - but it's not how many you have but what you do with them!. In return I promise not to send you to the principal for a reading comprehension test.

Thanks for engaging. It's been fun and I cant launch an adventure - cause PvP from time to time likes to place my conquered colonies in the tier without letting me build the defense until my other adventure ends. Ill just have to keep bearing my crosses.

Although I reckon I could outfit a small guild with cannons etc. I don't think I will fix my pop - I'll calm down and live with it - like I do the Quest at the top of my Questbook that wont give me 2 Sarges and a SFTR because despite being Level 50 since before the premium was invented and sitting on 150k achievement points - I apparently haven't discovered Sector 9 and Wild Mary with an explorer yet.

The inhumanity of losing out on the SFTR.

I love the little BB gems like that, much like the pvp quest line where at the end you get 1 star coin. I really celebrated hard with that one, pictured it paying 1/120 of an arrow and that kind of loot doesn't come around often ya know!

Yea the pvp LS bug is ridiculous, I am 99% sure we mentioned it on test. Maybe we forgot that one because we were focusing too hard on thinking the actual loot was a bug.. lol

    Ye gods why?

The post doesn't make sense and it's not how the game is behaving.

Really? Are there many posts saying it's worked? That's a real question. There are a lot of posts saying "I've killed my all my army guys and no go." or "My military count is down to 0 and now I'm stuck." or addressing the same problem you're having. Curious to see exactly how it's worked for anyone it has worked for.

Here's hoping this chat is mistaken, there's no real need for "a discussion..." when the "fix" isn't one and anyone playing about with it may well end up in the same sticky tangle many of us had the last time there was a major pop bug. Or they may not. It's completely unclear.
