    Reduced Adventure Rewards

I've been getting bored of TSO for a while now. A few months ago, I decided that I wouldn't add any new buildings except watermills, but would only upgrade the ones I already have, so my island becomes a "completed work" that would allow me to just run an occasional adventure and enjoy the seasonal special events with minimal daily island maintenance. To upgrade my existing buildings, I ran one "Island of Pirates" per day to harvest granite.

I find that the adventure rewards were reduced to the point where it's not even worth doing them anymore. Here's my recent loot: Island of Pirates - 250 exo wood, Whirlwind - 350 exo wood, Outlaws - 350 granite. Plus some worthless resources like a few hundred units of marble, coal and wheat... I mean - really? Both Whirlwind and Outlaws take at least a couple hours of painful staring at a screen to complete, more if you include the grind time for maintaining weapons production chains and making troops. I'm not running 4+ adventures to upgrade a single building. Having no more incentive to complete adventures, there is nothing left for me to do in the game. There is really no point in increasing production or maintaining my island because all that yields is gold, and there isn't much I can buy with gold at this point (and I'm only lvl45). Sorry but this game just isn't worth playing anymore. I think I will stick it out until the end of the Xmas event, but I'm not coming back after.

I have reached that point as well Fast. After looking at the new loot tables, it is not worth my time at all anymore. Maybe after they fix the barracks I will do some. At this point though half my guild no longer plays, and I will probably be joining them after Christmas. I was at the point of just trying to get witch towers and angel gates, but those are now around 2% drops. Gates were always a slim chance, but now the towers are as well. Not worth my time for 200 hardwood and 200 coal.

the changes were not tested properly for balance.... on one hand you have severe nerfing of majority of adventure loot, and on the other FT adventures became amazingly profitable - you make at least 80,000 gc profit from just 1 run, and these can be done daily.

Now that Evil_J retired... There are a few German guides and also these guides: http://www.settlersonlinewiki.eu/adventures/

Suggest getting together with 2 other guild members/friends to run them and use the combat simulator to double check (as usual): http://settlersonlinemaps.com/fastsim.php?LangCode=2

    Have fun!

    Thanks for the replies!

I did try "Valiant Little Tailor" with some guildies, and won 3500 exo wood... Assuming it yields similar amounts of granite, it actually might be a worthwhile adventure to do once in a while (certainly not daily!). I might try it again. Outlaws is way too much grinding for the amount of resources you get, even if it happens to be granite (is it 250-350 units?).

Still very unimpressed by the changes in adventure rewards, and still probably going to quit or at least play much less, but thanks to everyone for the suggestions

as Outlaws is now an Explorer only adv it seems that those explorers would be best used on long searches and the ewl traded for granite
