    If your putting books in multiple geos before a lucky or scout, you are doing something wrong (value wise)

    I am now up to 145 searches, with 63 of them finding fast mines (43.5%).

    It looks like my concern was probably misplaced, but I'll continue to record my results till I get to 1000.

    Ok, tired of keeping track of this, so posting my final numbers and that'll be the end of it!

    458 searches with 211 successful quality mineshaft finds, or 46%. I'd say the skill is working as described despite what you may think after getting 10 misses in a row!
