That pesky salt/titanium.
I can live with 30/60 granite and 40/100 exo logs or 100 gold ore from a 24 hrs search (fast scouts). Unfortunately with this economy a scout bringing 10 salt/titanium ore (24 hrs fast 48 hrs normal) is just way too little.
Canon forge consumes tons of gunpowder which is extremely expensive (resource wise) to make (even 3x buffed). Unfortunately, while re-balancing loot, salt amount was not changed much. One in 4-5 BK's I get 250 salt which is really a pinch if I want to run gunpowder hut. It would't be a problem if there was salt available on TO. Unfortunately, since every one is forced now to make weapons - everyone needs it and the adventure loot is a drop in a bucket. Treasure search will not help here either.
Similar situation goes for titanium. There is a huge shortage of both resources and it is adding to the long production cycles of epic weapons (which is another obstacle).
This is becoming a problem that is not going to go away, because no matter how much players stock piled of those 2 resources, those stocks are dwindling now and not growing.

if they ever get to making "PvP" playable they could add salt as a reward....

I am still playing for now, but if I get to the point where I can not produce needed cannons or damascene weapons etc cause not able to get the resources in the quantities I need I will just end up quitting. This whole no weapon from adventure loot change was bad, I think about quitting everyday cause of it.

I agree Trila. They claimed they would readjust things to make up for removing those weapons from the loot tables but they didn't really. If they want to encourage people to build those weapon buildings they need to reduce the costs to build those buildings and increase the output of those buildings - (taking 10 days to build damascene swords for 110 elites soliders just isn't acceptable).
Plus they need to increase the amount of mats like titanium ore you can get from adventures or from your explorers. Everything was balanced before and working and to make a huge change like removing weapons from the loot table means EVERYTHING needs to be looked at again.

I have very little saltpeter/gunpowder, but that's okay as I plan to never lose any cannons.

How much salt/gunpowder you have is not the issue. The problem is new players don't have that and lots of old ones also didn't stack piled tons of it. Now, everybody is forced to produce those weapons and the crunch is getting hard. You can't make a fundamental change to the game and answer people concerns with "well, you should ave been smart and stock pile this particular resource before the change".
1/3 of my guild wasn't even playing before the change. How about them now? Ragnar and Master your answer is basically killing the game itself. You screw the newbies, they quit, without them you are done as well, cause game goes dead. Is that what you want?
Stop being douches full of yourselves and contribute something to address the problem of a GAME DESIGN. Or 6 months from now you will be trolling yourselves on empty server.
