    Settlers/Population

I'm trying to add settlers for a quest:

It tells me to go to the star menu to and get settlers for storage.

When I try to put settlers in storage it says:

Maximum capacity reached. You cannot add more settlers to your storehouse, upgrade.

So I went to use my gems to upgrade:

Cannot use payment features , excepted the one mentioned in the quest. As soon as you have completed the quest , you can proceed as usual.

During the quest, “Missing Tools” and “New Settlers” you cannot use payment features excepted the one mentioned in the quest . As soon as you have completed the quest, you can proceed as usual.

    I'm confused

You can increase your population capacity by building more residences or upgrading those you already have.

I would hold off on using any gems for such purposes. In time, you'll find out that the value of gems is in owning special units/buildings, as opposed to accomplishing every day tasks.

    Hi Rhoswenia,
Try adding another house or if level 19, a noble residence to make more room for the settlers.
Still around from time to time.

Houses should be available from level 1. Having to wait until level 15 is ludicrous. It just goes to show this game is like all the others, based on the greedy programmers wanting to force the purchase of coins and gems to pad their pockets!

Actually, depending on your personal strategy, you can buy (with gems) Nobles early on. Don't spend your gems (or coins) on ANYTHING outside of the quest book, log in everyday, and you will accumulate 100 gems/week, not to mention the various gems you get by completing quests and achievements. Nobles cost 95 gems per, so you could (and some players do) buy a Noble a week and do just fine. Nobles are a good investment, take up little room, no licenses and provide 30 pop out of the box.

Side note: There is probably little reason to need them before level 15, anyhow. You should be kept too busy with other mundane tasks to gain experience. Also, from my experience, many players can attain level 15 by their 2nd or 3rd day.

Addendum: Regarding the 'not spending any gems' statement above, let me clarify. Until you are firmly established in the game and off of the quest book (Level 26ish) and running adventures, one should only spend gems on two (2) things aside from what the quests dictate, and these are:
    1. Building Licenses. You will eventually need to purchase these to build produciton buildings on your island. As they are 695 gems, you should not purchase them until you need them.
    2. Noble Residence - As mentioned previously, building your population is an important aspect of the game. So long as you do not require the gems for other critical items (See item 1 above), Nobles make a great investment. Futher note that if one pays attention to the Trade Office, deals might be found for pop buildings such as Nobles, Pirate Residences and the like.

If you are stuck on the 'add population to mayor's house' quest portion, because you have already reached you maximum population, please submit a support ticket and your account will be fixed to enable you to move forward. This is a problem that occurs when the account is started but not played long enough for the mayor house to fill with population, and has been turned over to the developers already.

while on the population topic. PLEASE add Frozen manors to the Merchant. I bet players would pay 200-300 gems per FM. I would without a fuss.

I'm going to bet there is a reason that BB does not want the server(s) flooded with FM's. They were removed from the Mystery Boxes when too many people were getting them when first released; also remember how they essentially nerfed them out of the Invasion of the Nord's adventure.

Idk what the specific reasons were, but their availability hit a brick wall last Fall. One of the odd things to me was that if it is such a 'dangerous' item; why did they make it trade-able?
