Yeah they took them out of the boxes because BB realized that it was too easy and cheap for players to get End Game items and made it more difficult to obtain them, like how it was before and how it should be. why do you expect to get end game items easily?
Stay in game long enough and who knows you might have a chance to obtain these items...start accumulating with this Easter event and stay a while.

I still don't see the reason anyone would quit a game over not being able to get the second MMA or some cheap FMs. Missing any of those things isn't game breaking imo. FMs can be easily substituted with WT, and since you just started last year I'm sure island space isn't an issue for you yet.
Try getting the eggs in TO if anyone decides to sell their left overs at a price that suits you. They might drop in price later during the event since I expect many of the old shop items will be unavailable to those that already bought them last year...making their old eggs useless. They will try to sell them this event as they might not have an opportunity to do so next year. Patience is the main trait necessary to play this game...work on it.

They have never let people go back and purchase items from previous year's events until this event. People who were not playing or did not have the resources to get things from an event never got the opportunity to get them. This was even the cast where they made a significant change in the nature of building, as when the village schools were changed from being a single level only to upgradeable, and people had not bought them the previous month during the halloween event. The ability for people to go back and get items they were not able to get last year is a unique occurrence, and obviously just a way to balance preventing people from the future hoarding event currency with the event currency already held in game.

This is not true. I had pumpkins from last year that I could use this one, same for Xmas presents. Grim general was available last year as it was year before, same for recyclers and quite few other things in event shop. So, claims that BB never let people "go back" and purchase things from previous events are not true. They simply put the same offers as last year in the shop.
Creating elitist groups of players by designing event shop NOT allowing new players to purchase stuff because they were not playing last year? What sense does that make? Those who hoarded old eggs already have everything that this shop offers. Last year players had a chance of purchasing the best general in game for even resources. This year this chance is not only taken away from new players who were all looking forward to it, no that's not enough. Newbies also have to watch BB putting what they really would like in shop for a resource that they don't have and most likely (because of prices of old eggs) will not be able to obtain.
I don't care what elitist perspective you use to justify this. BB just gave a finger to all newbies who are actually the only people who would even consider purchasing gems. Way to go.
All those people who say FM's should be scarce to get ... are the same who loaded their islands and their SH's with FM's when they were easily obtainable during 2013. I bet you would sing a very different song if all of you DIND'T buy all those FM's back than. Perhaps looking up "Hypocrisy" on google would help?
