This is a complete bollocks. Where I come from moves like that are called "asshat behavior". Guess gem sales of those egg packages in the shop were not going well? "Lets cut down in half egg drop from searches this will leave them no choice but spend some money."
You guys have no clue how to induce people to spend money on your game without slapping them in a face. Just sad. Lame, shallow and sad.
I also find a reduction of eggs, not only in searches, but on the island and for the first time yesterday I did a loot adventure with no eggs at all. First time in about 16 tries that this has happened.
Luckily, I already have what I wanted from the Easter shop and will still get my 3200 eggs from searches, only about 300 away now.
Not a happy settler here.
I just came to this to complain about the drop rate of eggs too. I just had 3 lucky explorers come back with no eggs whatsoever. I am pretty good about resending them right out and I only have 1027 from explorers so far - there is no way I can get enough for that 3200 egg achievement in the time left. And I needed those points to get the lvl 6 egg house since I don't do pvp. Guess no point in trying at this stage and might as well cash my eggs out instead of wasting them on those adventures you need to do 5 times.
New quest chain, first quest: Bring back 50 eggs from VERY long explorer searches.
4 days later still no luck. Search is 1 day 19 hrs, and I only have 3 explorers...
So best case scenario it will take 6 days for this quest...[sigh]...
as of this morning i'm at 3129 eggs so far from explorers.....seems to be working fine for me. they always had high and low days so keep trying

In the latest changelog, we talked about the explorers:
- The Skill "Sturdy Shovel" works now as intended when Stripy Eggs were found by an Explorer
If you had this skill level 3, the explorers would bring back approximately +37% of loot, instead of the intended +9%.
This is why explorers are finding less eggs since the latest update. The chance of finding eggs has not been changed.
