Where do Easter Eggs come from not working?

I opened a ticket on this yesterday. No response from anyone yet. I think the event ends tonight except for phase II so I guess I have to do another one of these while I am trying to do the expeditions I didn't think I had to do.

This was the 4th "where do..." scenario I ran, the first three and the fifth one worked fine.

Problem: I buffed all 7 wildlife caves with the gin buff, none counted. You'll note the wildlife cave in the upper right of the screenshot is a pile of rocks (already buffed). Leaving the zone and coming back didn't help.

I asked for my resources back (including eggs spent to buy the advent) since I am having to buy a 6th one, remake the buffs, and spend extra time completing it when I need to run 1-2 more expeditions tonight as well to get the level 6 egg house, assuming the RNG demon doesn't get me.

Response from support is that I could have made more cages (to buff what I'm not sure, the caves were already buffed?) and that I used the cages on the wildlife caves before the quest was "active" and they will not give me anything back.

I requested a logical reason, since this is not true in other adventures. For example, in an FT, I can kill the final leader with WPP's (yes I still have some) and when I get to the last section the quest pops up "Quest Completed" - I can't figure out the difference since in both cases the quest was completed before it was active.

I will post my opinions in another section of the forum so I don't get in trouble, this forum is probably for bugs only.

yes i discovered i could put the happy thing on the chicken nest BEFORE the chickens - -then had to put them on again AFTER the chickens were applied
