    Frozen Manors

To get FROZEN manor you have 4,35% chance
To get The Invasion of the Nords you have 0,5% chance

    so....

if 5000 players do Nord's there is chance 1 of them will progress and get the frozen manor. But the laws of probability are such that you could run Nord's for the 5000000000000000 times and still never get a frozen manor.

    Have fun

Very true.. Not everyone realizes the latter part about an individual may never (in their life time) get a FM, by playing Nords to get Nords 2, to get a FM.
But you can drastically improve your chances by directly purchasing Nords 2 from Gem shop...

Yes, for a tidy sum of 1495 gems, you too can have a whopping chance of (BB claims 4.00% - I think less) getting the top prize. Not cool; especially since they nerfed the drop rate from a 33.33% chance and did not lower the gem cost even a single gem!? :/

Think basics - If you get gems at normal cost per $99USD one Nords2 is roughly $6.23USD for a 33% chance, is reasonable and I would accept, but for even a 4% drop rate? Please.

And if you are not fortunate enough to get gems at bulk rate and have to purchase using the smallest package that gets you a Nords 2 (1700 gems for $9.99USD), then your cost per Nords 2 is approximately $8.79USD. Again, for a 1/3 chance, might be worth it to players, but not likely at a 4% or less drop rate.

An interesting thought is that with many discussions in these forums, we normally will have different players taking different sides. With the issue of Nords 2 and 'The Great Nerfing of 2014', I have really heard no players defending the nerfing of Nords 2. So, that brings in mind a question to all:

Have you purchased an 'Invasion of the Nords' (Nords 2) adventure since the epic loot was nerfed last Fall (2014)?

Agreed.. and I am not on either side.. I am personally over the hope of getting a single more FM on my island..
I hope to work my way to a few Mag Res instead.. just need to start doing FTs, before BB touches them again...
I wish I could hurry... and had the time to do them day and night.

I was just finally ready to start trying to buy some, but then I realized it wasn't happening. I like the magnificent residence idea as well, though I'm not sure how many will actually fit. I guess I'll be good with 10k population. I don't have a plan to use that population, but it's at least a goal to achieve.

Had the same problem when I went to start doing Bandit Nest. I decided I like the adventure, but the odds of getting the follow-up made it pointless. Have two quests about follow-up adventures that are just going to sit there.

Yes, the MR can work for you if you map it out right. They have an odd shape. I got a couple just to get rid of the few lvl3 Nobles I had left. In the same space I placed the MR, I gained 300 pop, per. Not as good as a FM, but...

Right.. same here.. not looking for stellar pop.. which will give me bragging rights for having most FMs.. and Pop..
But that's ok I need the pop to just do FTs.. If and when I reach 10-15k.. I'd be happy
And as for mapping, yes, I've been leaving empty squares with Mag Res in mind..
May have to shuffle a bit later.. will see when I get enough beans..

here is my guess to as why BB did this, FM will forever be the best pop building in the game and they want players to struggle to get the ultimate end game pop building and or pay for them (significantly). not saying i agree with them but i do understand why they would do this.
